Mage | Heroes and Castles
The mage is a class that truly differ from the other classes. You will mainly be using your mage’s skills to do damage until later in the level. Heroes and Castles Mage Stats
In contrast to the other two classes, the mage actually relies on its skills to deal most of the damage output. However, the best stats to put for your mage after mastering the other skills is still damage. The mage does a semi AoE attack which can be quite deadly at high damage rate. Only spec your hero with damage.
Heroes and Castles Mage Skills
The mage comes with a couple good skills that you should max as early as possible. We would recommend putting in 1 point in Frost and max out Lightning storm. Then you can start putting in points into Life force and Life Channel.
Your final mage skill should look something like:
Max Frost
Max Lightning Storm
Max Life Force
Max Life Channel
Optional Regenerate
The rest of your stats points should be used for damage.
Burn: Channels 25 of HP into a homing Fireball to target the enemy nearest the center of the screen.
Level 1: 10 damage /second for 10 sec
Frost: Instantly damage the monsters in the nearby area.
Level 1: 25-75 damage, 5s stun, 15s cool down
Level 2: 35-85 damage, 7s stun, 15s cool down
Level 3: 40-90 damage, 9s stun, 15s cool down
Level 4: 45-95 damage, 11s stun, 15s cool down
Level 5: 50-100 damage, 13s stun, 15scooldown
Lightning Storm: Attack enemies in a wide area over extended amount of time. The hits are random.
Level 1: 100-150 Damage, 10s duration, 25s cool down
Level 2: 125~175 Damage, 12s duration, 25s cool down
Level 3: 150~200 damage, 14s duration, 25s cool down
Level 4: 175~225 damage, 16s duration, 25s cool down
Level 5: 200~250 damage, 18s duration, 25s cool down
Regenerate: Heal while standing still and while not being attacked.
Level 1: +3 HP/sec
Level 2: +5 HP/sec
Level 3: +7 HP/sec
Level 4: +9 HP/sec
Level 5: +11 HP/sec
Life Force
Level 1: 5% chance to heal 25 for each enemy killed
Level 2: 10% chance to heal 25 for each enemy killed
Level 3: 15% chance to heal 25 for each enemy killed
Level 4: 20% chance to heal 25 for each enemy killed
Level 5: 25% chance to heal 25 for each enemy killed
Life Channel
For every 100 damage mage takes, his max health is increased for the duration of the battle.
Level 1: +5 HP /100 damage taken
Level 2: +10 HP /100 damage taken
Level 3: +15 HP /100 damage taken
Level 4: +20 HP /100 damage taken
Level 5: +25 HP /100 damage taken
Heroes and Castles Mage Strategy
During every game your primary task is to ensure that your wall defense can handle the incoming monsters. After which you can use your basic AoE attack to target the monsters on the wall or use the spells to take them out pretty quickly. High level mages can be quite a force with the ability to heal and ability to deal max amount of damage pretty quickly.
In general your mage is stronger than any of your support troops combined. Save those coins on wall defense and the occasional HP recover.
