Heroes and Castles Knight Stats
In this game, the only good stats for you to get for the knight is “damage”. You do not need armor as you will still be taking the majority of the damage from heavy monsters. And your goal is really to kill the monsters and get them off your other units. Focus on getting damage stats as high as you can, and after which put your stats into health. You want to have enough health points to stay longer in the battlefield without having to come back to the keep.
You won’t gain much from running or critical stats as you already have plenty of stamina to run at higher levels. As far as critical you don’t get much compared to the engineer. The critical hits only deal about double the damage and not that helpful compared to straight up damage output.
Heroes and Castles Knight Skills
Below are all the knight skills that you can have in the game. In our opinion, the active skills all have straight damage output, this makes them quite weak especially in endless mode. Anything that does not kill enemies fast will end up killing yourself instead. Thus you should mainly focus on the passives and stats gain for your Heroes and Castles hero skill points.
Active Knight Skills
Hero Strike:
This skill deals good damage to a wide arc. At higher levels this skill can take out a bunch of enemies pretty instantly. However, it is pretty weak against other strong monsters such as the orc lord.
Taunt:
Temporarily increases armor and forces enemies in the area to attack you. This skill is great to take pressure off the monsters from attacking your wall. However, towards later stages you simply do not have enough health points to make this skill worth while. By taunting the enemies, the chances are that you will die shortly after if you fail to dodge their attacks.
Valiant Charge:
Valiant charges deals ok damage against enemies and get yourself out of dangerous situations. You could consider putting 2 skill points for only 1 level of this skill. Additional skill points in our opinion is a waste of your valuable levels.
Passive Knight Skills
Counter Attack:
This is a great skill to have because you can do follow up attacks after you counter. Again this skill should be maxed.
Heavy Armor:
Another awesome skill for your knight. By able to take less damage from enemy attacks, you can last longer in the battle field. The more time you can spend out killing, the less pressure that your walls will have. Max this skill as soon as you can.
Leadership:
This skill gives you a chance to recruit a captain when you summon peons and pikeman units.Leadershipis a useless skill as your melee team dies pretty fast against enemies in endless mode. Your knight will deal much more damage compared to your free captain summons.
Heroes and Castles Knight Playing Builds
As knight, your biggest strength lies in your fast running speed and the capability to do mass damage within a short period of time.
Ninja Damage Build
Max Counter
Max Heavy Armor
Rest goes into damage
In this strategy, your goal is to maximize your damage. This strategy does not work well until you are in the level 30~40’s where you will be dealing mad damage with each strike. However, before you max out and have a decent damage output, this build is extremely weak during the campaigns. You will have to farm quite a bit to get your hero up. However the end result is well worth it. Your goal is to be able to kill wraiths within 1 strike and the majority of other strong monsters within 2~3 hits. If you can instantly kill the majority of the enemy monsters, you will take tremendous pressure of them.
Normal Campaign Builds
Use this build if you only want to complete campaign and not going further into the endless modes.
Max Valiant Charge
Max Leadership
Max Counter
Max Heavy Armor
If you still have troubles getting through the campaign, try to farm a couple of levels or see if you can join a stronger player in the coop mode.
Heroes and Castles Rune Selections
Below are some of the rune selections that you could consider using for your knight. Try to get as many legendary runes as you can. Switch on and off some of them to test out their ability to help you last longer.
Damage Runes
Your goal is to deal maximum damage possible to take down strong enemies. Equip the strongest damage rune that you have and see how many monsters that you can kill. Ideally you want to have enough damage output to kill enemies in as little strikes as possible. Wraiths are your primary goal to take down due to their defense against other units.
Minus Unit Rune
Because of your leadership skill, you have a chance of getting free captains. This makes spamming peons or pikeman attractive. By having a minus unit cost rune, you can summon those units faster.
HP rune
If you find yourself dying too much, switching on a HP rune may help you too. Again you will have to balance between your survivalability versus potential damage capability.
Gold and Gold
Gold income rune is good for all the classes, they help you put up your defenses and units faster.
Playing Styles and Strategies
As a damage dealer, you should get out into the battle field as soon as it starts. Take down as many enemies as you can. Aside from your normal wall defenses, you want to setup your melee platoon as early as possible for most of the stages.
In general attack anything that you can kill easily, then rely on the peons and your ranged defenses to take down enemies that can kill you fast.
