After playing many of the endless and coop games in Heroes and Castles, we have compiled some strategy to help players become better and last longer in the game. We have been partnered with many of the new players who use bad strategies either early on or during mid game.

In both solo and coop, your main purpose is to play the strength of your character and make the most out of your gold. In addition, we assume that you have maxed out most of the buildings and units that we have mentioned to make these builds more effective in the game. General Endless and Coop Strategy

Below are some of the guidelines that you need to follow to ensure to last as long as you can in the endless mode. With these general strategies, you should last pretty long within the Heroes and Castles endless mode.

1. Kill Monsters Fast
In endless mode, the monster grows stronger with each given moment. This makes it worthwhile to kill them as fast as you can in the game. This means equipping on damage runes or build out your damage dealers as fast as you can. The longer you wait, the stronger the mobs become. If your goal is to farm exp and level up fast in heroes and castles, killing them fast is the way too go. Never go on the defensive.

2. Do not use Peons or Pikemen or Captain
Never waste your gold on weak melee units. These units die fast and are ineffective against most of the enemies in the game. They die against wraiths and against all the other more boss like monsters. Save your gold and never summon those weak melee patrol units.

3. Focus on Killing Wraiths
Your troops cannot effectively kill the wraiths. These wraiths deal a ton of damage too. Take them out as soon as they appear, leave the rest of the enemies to your attacking units.

4. Take Out Enemy Archers and Long Ranged Bombers Fast
Defending your structures within the castle wall is your most important task. Always rush out to take out ranged enemy units as fast as you can afford to. One way to handle this is by building mortar towers. Mortar towers can kill ranged enemy units pretty effectively.

5. Power of Mortar Tower + Forge
Mortar towers are one of the strongest structure that you can have in the game. It deals AoE damage while having the ability to stun and knock down multiple enemies. Build it together along with forge can take care of the enemy wizards more easily.

6. Save Your Gold
Never ever spend your gold on necessary troops or buildings that you know will be taken down. Always save your gold so that when it is needed, you can rebuild your gold mines when it gets destroyed.

7. Infinite Time Loop Note
The amount of troops on the battle field is limited. This mean that you can go on the defensive and go infinite amount of time in endless mode at the time of writing. However this method is pointless rather than getting higher on the leaderboard. You do not earn any experience points for the enemies that you leave alive. It is much more productive to kill as many enemies as you can during the endless and coop modes.

Knight Solo Endless Strategy
As amaindamage dealer, hopefully you have up your damage to become the main damage dealer. At high levels your job is to take down wraiths and other strong monsters fast. You will have to use Taunt from time to time to ensure the enemies get off your walls, this way your defenses can work on killing the enemies.

Paladin
Your job is to ensure that all of your units are healed up. This means that stand near the castle walls to constantly heal your defenses back to health. Use your AoE attacks against enemies attacking the wall to knock them down quickly.

Engineer
The engineer’s focus is to always keep the walls and towers up to defend the enemy attacks. With its long ranged attack, the engineer is especially effective on the battlefield to go deep into the enemy lines. The engineer can make the best out of long ranged mortar tower attacks because of its lowered costs. With the buff to earn gold

Heroes and Castles Coop Strategies

Now because two players are involved in the coop mode, your basic strategies in endless mode still apply most of the time. However, you will have to take your partner’s build into consideration. Observe what kind of units that your partners are building and help them with that. We will provide some general guide lines when you partner up with specific classes.

When Your Partner is Knight
Check out the type of skills that he has, does he deal good damage? Does he taunt? There is not much strategy when you partner up with the knight. The only tip is that you should try to support him whenever possible. When he starts taunting and dragging away the enemies, that is the perfect moment for you to follow after and sneak in some damage. However, be careful when taunt wears off because you will get attacked by the mobs.

When Your Partner is Paladin
It is a blessing to partner up with a good paladin with support skills. You should always run along with the paladin if he has the damage plus buff. Two players together with the buff can mow down enemies pretty fast. Another strategy is for the paladin to stand near the castle line while the other player go deep into the field. This is especially helpful towards the end stage where catapults start appearing.

When Your Partner is Engineer
Engineer is an interesting class that it can be quite powerful with the AoE critical attack along with its many defense capabilities. Observe your partner to see if he’s building rifleman. If the engineer partner is pushing for a rifleman team, help him by building them too. You can also build the longbeard to take advantage of longbeard’s captain capability. Engineer’s buff + captain’s hut + dwarven hut can make the captain into a killing machine. This setup is especially true if the paladin is standing near the castle wall. The longbeard has the capability to deal 130~140 damage per hit, which is close to a high level character’s damage output.

Best Team Setups

At the current version of the game, we think the setup of Knight + Paladin or Engineer + Paladin is the most effective methods in the game. The Paladin provides awesome buffs that can deal great damage to the enemies throughout the stage.
