Dragon Blaze is a fun and flashy mobile RPG. If you are new to the game, you must have
Dragon Blaze Basic Character Selection
The first thing that you will do in the game is pick your starting character class in Dragon Blaze. Below is a quick overview to help you decide which class to go for.
Warrior: Warrior is the tank class of the game.
You should generally just pick one class and stick with it until you reach level 50. Since the “shoes” or “energy” is shared between all of your characters.
Avoid warrior as it can be hard to find parties at late stages. They can be useful in earlier stages of the game but become outdated later. Warrior is also great at Labyrinth run because of their ability to survive longer.
Priest is a good starting character as you are less bounded by having a strong priest.
Rogue: Strongest class with the current game setup.
Mage: Strong class later with good gears + AoE skill.
Archer: Weaker right now but will be buffed at a later time with more content / level cap upgrades.
Dragon Blaze Ally Ranking Tier
We have prepared our own analysis of the different allies and their potential into different tiers. Please check them out as a simple guideline to the strength of your allies. Please feel free to leave comments if you have any different opinions.
Overview of Dragon Blaze Basic Information
You may find the following guides useful to help you understand some basic mechanic of the game:
DPS Gear Calculator
We also have a short little strategy to help you level up faster in Dragon Blaze at the end of this guide following the walkthrough, since the method applies to all three modes.
After you have grinded and collected some gears and want to achieve better DPS. Consider checking out our Dragon Blaze DPS calculator to help you make your decision.
Starting in Normal Mode
Normal mode is when you go through the basic in game tutorials and learn more about the game’s beginner information. Just follow the main tutorial. It should be noted that in Normal mode, you get ally drops randomly at the end of the stage. You will mainly get C rank allies with B as rare encounter.
Continue with the stages with the premium allies that you have. You do not need to “grind” for levels in Dragon Blaze. Push for as far as you can. Later stages offer significantly more EXP.
Do not use your tickets for too many Labyrinth or Arena attempts at this point. Simply do 3 runs each to fulfill the daily quests for some free rubies.
DO not spend gold to upgrade any gears nor enhance allies unless you are truly stuck. Skip Komodo Fairy raids as you will quickly outpace the area.
Continue to level and push for stages until you reach Storm Tyrant Raid. Raid Storm Raid to get some better equipment and use up all of your tickets whenever you are stuck with the main story quest.
You may get stuck a little bit here. Your priority is to get an S or at least an A ranked healer. If you have the money SS ranked healer will get you a long way.
Farm Junglefury with hopefully a priest to get better gears. Grind the last boss stage of where you are stuck and can “Auto” play.
At this point, you should get at least an S tank and S healer plus 3 others random units. Enhance the S ranked allies to as high as you can.
You will get stuck again as you grind and prep your team to beat normal mode. You can reach him by level 30 but you usually will have to grind a few more levels to get your team ready.
Farm Shadowcrag to boost your gears further.
To beat King Gram in Normal mode, you should enhance your tank and healer to MAX. And the rest of your allies to as high as you can.
Consider spending rubies to unlock item slots, buy revival scrolls, revival potions to help you beat King Gram. Add a high level DPS character friend to help you beat Normal mode easily. If you have to fight him solo, consider using the following team setup:
2 Healer, 2 Tank, and 1 DPS or
2 Healer, 1 Tank, and 2 DPS.
This section now assume that you have beaten the normal mode. In hero mode you will get stuck quite frequently as you push through the levels.
If you need to level up, always fight the last stage of each section before the raid. The reason is that you have a shot at getting Purple accessories.
These areas include:
Pixie Falls, Remains of the Fallen, Deserted Tower, and Dark Fortress.
We like Deserted Tower as the boss can evade quite a few of your attacks, thus drawing more waves of monsters and guaranteeing you a higher EXP count.
You will also need to upgrade the strongest gears with the stats that you need. You will also need to upgrade the defense of your tank ally. Only use the gears of the same ranking to get 100% enhance rate. You are more likely to run out of gold than running out of feeders. If you need gold, you can now start grinding for Labyrinth, you should be able to beat 10~15 levels depending on your team for roughly 4k gold per run.
Any spare tickets should be used to grind the various raid stages. Players like Storm Tyrant as it is the easiest and fastest to kill.
At this time, you should combine a few of your S for SS allies on your team. Because not to do 2 from your existing at the same time, better to prepare another S outside of your team. This ensures that you still have a working team to help you grind and fight.
You will be able to face King Gram by level 40. Like in Normal mode, grind a few more levels if your team is not prepared enough. If you have not yet, now is the time to open up all item pouch slots. Equip 2 Revival scroll + 1 HP scroll to be used right after revival.
To kill King Gram in hero mode, consider the following team setup:
Main character as Priest:
1 Tank, 1 AoE DPS, 2 Single Target DPS
Main character as Tank:
2 Healer, 2 Single Target DPS (If healer is SS, then 1 healer and 1 AoE DPS, 2 Single Target DPS)
Main character as DPS:
1 Healer, 1 Tank, 2 Single Target DPS
You will need to get at least +4 or +5 for the DPS. Tank and healer needs to be at MAX. You should have at least all S grade allies.
Add level 40+ friends to help you kill King Gram even more easily.
This section resumes after you have successfully killed Hero mode King Gram and enter legendary mode.
In legendary, you should not have trouble pushing through the stages. However, if you need to grind for EXP ever, always do the usual Pixie Falls, Remains of the Fallen, Deserted Tower, and Dark Fortress for chances to get legendary accessories.
Farm legendary raids and check out the raids guide to see where to farm.
If you get accessories with +gold acquisition, make sure that you equip them on your SS ranked allies while grinding for more gold.
At this time in Legendary mode, you will also need to farm and combine your allies to get to higher Rank.
You will need mainly SS ranked allies on your team and SSS tank or healer if possible for better odds of passing. You should refresh all of your gears from Legendary mode raids, and enhance them to MAX.
Level 50 King Gram Strategy
One good way to test if you are ready for the final stage in this game version is to try it. If you are having trouble clearing the previous wave mobs, there is no chance for you to beat the game. Go back and farm for stronger allies and gears.
You must have all item slots unlocked by this time. 1~2 revival scrolls plus 1 HP scroll. The healer and tank must be wearing fully enhanced gears to tank the damage.
Main hero as a Priest:
1 SSS Tank or a Strong SS Maxed tank, +3 SS DPS.
Main hero as other classes:
1 SSS Healer + 1 SSS Tank or strong SS Maxed Tank + 2 DPS
For the DPS, you generally want to take Warrior DPS for better survival ability.
You will also need a level 50 fully geared DPS to help you with the final King Gram boss in Legendary mode.
By this time you will be fighting and pushing your way through. Myth mode being the hardest section of the game, will have mobs that one shot kill your ally heroes in single skill hit. It is essential for you to have unlocked all item slots by this time so that you can rotate through the cooldown for revival scrolls if needed.
You should generally upgrade your entire team to SSS tiers. The only allies that can survive effectively are fully geared SS maxed warriors, and SSS maxed tier units. Upgrade the SS rank DPS first as your warrior DPS or tanks can still survive barely in the new mode. The only exception is the SS Priest Viri, or S rank Priest Ranran. You should use them if you do not have any SSS priests.
The team setup for Dragon Blaze Myth mode requires the following ally setup in Myth mode, use the following:
1 SSS Healer (Revive Preferred) + 1 Healer with Revive (SSS > SS > S) + 2 DPS + 1 Tank with Taunt
If you are a priest class your self, you will need to team with another healer with Revive. You should generally not use two tanks in Myth mode as the mobs can quickly drain your tank’s HP pool, it is much more efficient to kill the mobs fast with better DPS output.
The leveling method changes a little bit in Myth mode. Since all the mobs can quickly wipe out your team, you should generally not farm the boss stages unless your team can “auto” push it. It may be better to simply farm stages like Pumpkin 9 or other “green” stages that your team can safely handle. But of course if you have fully geared and maxed SSS teams, you should still follow the optimal leveling method.
Tip on Faster Dragon Blaze EXP Grinding Strategy
Whenever you are stuck in the game, the BEST place to farm and grind for fast EXP is through farming the last stage boss of each of the area (before you unlock Raid for the area). Use the following team setup:
2 Healer, 2 Tank (AoE skill preferred), 1 DPS (AoE attack preferred).
Your goal is to “slow play” the boss so that he can live through your attacks while sending out 3 Waves of mobs. This way you can get the most EXP out of the shoes. Out of this method, the BEST place to farm EXP for fast leveling is by hitting Deserted Tower. The boss in this stage casts +EVA skills which dodge more of your attacks, this makes her likely to send out all three waves of mobs.
This leveling method is especially true in Legendary mode, consider Raiding Storm Tyrant nonstop, while farming on Deserted Tower (Legend) to get yourself to level 50 with decent accessories and gears before moving on. Many high level players still raid Storm Tyrant because it is relatively much easier to achieve SS and thus gear enhancing fodders for their other SSS gears.
-EXP Acquisition Boost Accessories: SAVE any accessories that boost your EXP count. They will come in handy especially at later stages. By fully stacking all the EXP boosters, you can achieve roughly 55~60% more EXP per dungeon run.
