Congratulations on finishing the game and arriving at hell mode. Hell mode unlocks after you have beaten the game in the normal setting. After the secret boss killed you all, you need more power and gets reincarnated and go through nightmarish hell. In the hell mode, all the enemies will deal an additional 1k~2k damage compared to the last mobs in the sealed land dungeon. We will also discuss how your life will look like after the normal level game play.
The Hell mobs have levels ranged from 90~100 and there are the graveyard dungeon mobs whose levels start at 103. These mobs can hit hard big time with attacks that max in at around 13~16k. This means that even if you have 10k defense, these monsters will still hit you for 3k normal and 5~6k on critical. Most of them can one shot kill you as you first advance from your Zenonia 5 Salvatore fight. However, as you grind for higher level and more advanced upgrade stones, you may have a shot at defeating those enemies.
In this guide, we will give you some pointers on how to proceed in Zenonia 5 Hell Mode. If you have found these general guidelines helpful, please share this guide with your friends! Please check out the rest of our Zenonia 5 guides filed under Gaming app guides by Gamelytic.
What to Do in Hell Mode in Zenonia 5
After you get to this stage, all that is left to do are the following tasks. We will go over each of these tasks to help you really complete and finish the game.
1. Grind to level 109
2. Collect level cap gears
3. Climb PvP Ladder
4. Crawl the Zenonia 5 abyss dungeon
5. Challenge and defeat the final boss
Final Level Grinding
Fighting in Hell Mode is not a fun task. Most of the mobs deal insane amount of damage while having a ton of HP. Your best bet is to grind on the easiest mobs which are the Miner zombies right at the beginning stage of the game. Harder mobs have higher chance of dying. Although remember to save quite often as you grind away. If you make a mistake and die by enemy’s critical attacks, just restart the game instead of losing all of your EXP earned through grinding. Grinding is also important for you to obtain your initial level 90 ~ level 100 gears.
Depending on your character’s ATT and DEF level, you may grind a higher level mob based on how easy they are to you. Just traverse through the maps and pick out the highest level mob that you can handle. When you first start grinding, the miner town and deva castle maps are the best choices. After maybe 5~10 hours of grinding you would be move on to Graveyard. The Graveyard entrance is from the new NPC that appears in miner town from the wizard looking NPC. You will need to pay 500 g to get in. However you can always teleport out from a portal inside.
At this stage you can also collect the higher level gears through PvP and Abyss. You will need enough DEF to at least tank 1~2 shots from mobs if you are Wizard or Mechanic. You will need even more defense to tank mobs better as a Zenonia 5 berserker or a Paladin.
Choose Your End Game Equipment
Gears play a huge part in the post normal game life. Depending on your character and play style, you really have to play extreme and grind hard to collect the best gears. Below are some pointers for you. Going extreme is awesome for Zenonia 5 hell mode.
Berserker and Paladin: Aim for ATT or potential DEF if your build is full CON.
Another possible for Berserker is going the HP + HP reflect route if you are full CON. The 3 berserker decoys can be deadly if you have fully geared HP reflect equipment. The mobs and other players kill themselves faster than you do.
Special note for STR vs ATT. Berserkers make better use of STR because of Power Link and Paladins make better use of ATT due to their low STR to ATT ratio.
Mechanic: ATT (preferred), DEX, or possibly full geared EVA items for higher dodge.
Wizard: ATT (perferred) or INT and enough Stats +allorHP gear to avoid 1 hit kill.
As you see from the above recommendations, the common factor is always ATT. Due to the high amount of HP in Hell Mode and high level abyss monsters, you will always need all the max fire power that you can get. However, it should be noted that if you are going defensive route, you will always suffer by not able to kill mini bosses in Abyss on time. In addition, you will spend considerably amount of ZEN to refine and evolve all of your gears to achieve the best DEF possible. It will by far easier and cheaper to simply go for the ATT route.
As far as the gear selection, you should almost always stick with gears that have at least 2 upgrade stone slots, 3 slots are even better. Your goal is to rotate and continuously grind your gears to full gears with 3 slots with the best magical stats possible. It will take many hours, days, and weeks to grind for that. But that is what Hell Mode is about.
Climbing the Zenonia 5 PvP Ladder
At max level, you should know what you opponents are like. In general, you can kill other players as long as your attack is significantly higher than your enemies. However, if you are low health like mechanic or wizard, you will almost always lose against pure con berserkers and paladins if they have damage reflect gears. Thus, your goal is to fight enough to climb the ladder as high as you can. We recommend you to start only doing so because of the gears that you can also get from winning. If you can, start this process at level 109 to have a shot at some of the best gears in the game appropriate for your levels.
High Level Abyss Dungeon
Abyss dungeon at high level is all about your damage output and ability to continue battle. This simply means that you should fully deck out your ATT and skills to do maximum damage output. You should have a couple HP and SP absorb battles that you simply do not run out of resources in the middle of the battle. At level 109 with semi decent gears you should be able to climb at least 20~35 levels. However as you go higher you may need even stronger gears to continue. This is another fun part about the Zenonia 5 Hell mode end game, your goal is really to see how many floors that you can climb on a daily basis.
Zenonia 5 Graveyard Secret Final Boss
You can enter the Graveyard Secret Boss via the Graveyard. The Zenonia 5 Graveyard Secret Boss is just like any other boss. You will be prompted to save before you enter the stage. The boss is actually not that hard compared to some of the high level mobs that you see if Graveyard or abyss. The Graveyard boss has a couple of skills such as homing attacks that starts at your character location. So you will always be on the move to dodge the attacks.
You do not earn any rewards for defeating the Graveyard Secret Boss other than bragging rights.
