Prelude is a fun and hard room escape game on the ipad or ios. In this guide, we will walk you through the different puzzles to help you go through the Prelude room and escape! Please leave your comments and thoughts if you have any questions or ideas! We have bolded the important puzzle solving parts to help you quickly navigate through the game and this guide. However, we will provide you with the logic and thoughts behind each of the puzzles.

Before you start in solving the puzzle. Note that there are a couple screens:
The safe on the left.
The desk.
The key pad and slot machine on the right.

If you want to solve the room and escape from Prelude room instantly, simply go to the last step and follow the design.

Prelude Room Desk

The CD Player
Stop the CD player on the desk and observe the CD.
You will find the following information:
45 RPM
Op. 28
No. 4
Chopin Prelude in E Minor.

Observe that Red dot is 28

Clue on the Desk
Observe the paper in the middle of the desk, you will see some circle shapes with directions, a circuit, and a tetris puzzle. These are the information that you will need to open one of the locks after obtaining all the dotted numbers. We will come back to this puzzle at a later time.

Circuit Puzzle
Now check the circuit puzzle on the right. You can alter the direction of the squares to complete the circuit.
To solve it easily, you first start from the center then work your way to the outer square rings.

If you have trouble solving the puzzle: do the following if you have not touched the circuit yet:
Center ring counter clockwise x2
Second ring counter clockwise x2
Third ring counter clockwise x3
Fourth ring counter clockwise x1

After solving the prelude room circuit puzzle, you will find the number 60 for the yellow dot

Tetris Puzzle on right wall
In this tetris puzzle, you can unlock different knobs withthecircle on the bottom right, and you can use the direction keys to move the pieces. Your goal is to make all the spaces green.

Give this puzzle in Prelude escape a try. If you have trouble to complete it, please use the following steps.

After solving the tetris puzzle, you will see the number 10 for the tetris puzzle – Green dot

Slot Machine Zodiac Puzzle
For the zodiac machine puzzle, your job is to figure out the number behind all the different zodiac signs. Pull the slot machine a couple of times and you can get the sum of three symbols. Do some algebra and figure out the XYZ’s.

After doing the math you will find the following answers:
Leo = 3
Cancer = 4
Capricorn = 5
Scorpio = 6
Libra = 8

Add all of the numbers and you will find that Blue Dot is 26

Solving the Lock Combination

This is yet another math puzzles that you will need to do to find the final combination.
Remember the paper on the desk? The top clu has some circles with different percentages. Now let’s review all the numbers that we obtained earlier:

Blue: 26
Green: 10
Red: 28
Yellow: 60

Now solve for the combinations, the three circles are as followed:

26/4 + 10/4 + 28/2 = 23
60/4*3 + 28/4 = 52
10/3 + 26/3 + 60/3 = 32

Combine the numbers with their directions you get:
23 clockwise – 52 counterclockwise – 32 clockwise

Be very careful when you rotate the lock on the combination safe, because one number over you would fail and have to restart. Once you have input in the combination, switch off the left on the left and obtain a piece of paper. The paper shows the picture of an arrow.

The Final Prelude Door

Now you have the final piece of the puzzle to open the final door. There is not much tip that we can provide other than taking the time to complete your pattern and unlock the door. You can move the black dot which can switch the pieces. Make it into the arrow like the paper you obtained from the safe.
