Metal Parade and Jewel Parade Guide Basic
Metal parade is the defacto EXP dungeon in Brave Frontier. It is the best place for you to get various elemental Ghost, King, and God units that grants you with massive EXP and is the main way for how to level up units fast. Jewel parade is the second best place for you to get Zel from capturing and selling the Jewel type units including ghost, king, and God. It should be noted that these fusion exp units do not level up your Brave Burst level.
How to get metal key: The Metal parade keys and Jewel Parade keys are available on a daily basis obtainable through Imperial Capital Randall > Akras Summoner’s Hall Administration Office. You can receive the metal parade key on Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday. And the Jewel keys are available on Wednesday only. Make sure that you follow the metal and jewel key distribution schedule to get them.
You have to manually go into the hall to collect the keys on those given days or you would miss out on them. So check for them every day to make sure that you do not miss out.
Below is a screenshot of where you can grab the keys in the game.
You can hold up to 5 keys in your inventory, so you can pick the best time for you to run through the dungeons for one hour. To access the dungeon, visit to Vortex portal portion of the game and use the key to unlock the door. The unlocked parade door timer will last for one hour.
This means that you should never use the keys back to back, wait for your energy to regenerate and use the parade keys.
Metal Parade Brave Frontier Details
The metal parade itself does not drop any Zel or Karma. The metal parade spawns the elemental fusion units including Ghost, King, and God of varying elemental types.
15 energy per metal Parade is required to run and consist of 5 battles. You will capture one of the metal EXP fusion unit with each of the round. The EXP reward is 1000 per run and you will earn 1 gem for the first time completion.
Metal Units
The various metal units only take 1 damage per hit. However, you can kill the enemy units quickly if you use units that hit multiple times. This is especially important at higher levels where you can farm the metal parade dungeons multiple times before you run out of energy.
Metal Ghosts: 10 HP
Metal King: 35 HP
Metal God: 100 HP
Recommended Levels
The metal parade itself is pretty easy and you can get through the dungeons once you have passed Morgan’s first map. However, you should collect the daily keys and wait until level 25 before you start using your metal parade keys (unless you reached the 5 key inventory limit before then). At level 25 you will have more than 35 energy which allows you to do multiple runs which make it more worthwhile. Please read the later section that teaches you how to maximize your parade runs based on your energy amount.
Jewel Parade Brave Frontier Details
Unlike the metal parade, the jewel monsters in Jewel Parade act like regular monsters where they take regular damage. In fact, the jewel monsters are the same as you would encounter in the weekend Golden vault dungeons. When you unlock the Jewel parade with the key, the timer to the door starts for exactly 1 hour.
Each dungeon attempt is consisted of 5 battles and costs 15 energy per Jewel Parade. You will face various monster formations consisted of various Jewel units. The jewel monsters can be captured and sold for good amount of Zel. Below is a list of the jewel captures and their selling price. You will mainly have the jewel units used as a way to gain more Zel.
Jewel Ghost: 7,000 Zel
Jewel King: 20,000 Zel
Jewel God: 50,000 Zel
The key to earn maximum Zel from jewel mobs are to hit them with multi-hit team with Thief Leon as your leader. You want to avoid utilizing unit with high single attacks as they can kill the jewel units too fast. The max value of Zel that you can extract from each of the mobs during normal hit is as followed:
Jewel Ghost: 1,000 Zel from drops
Jewel King: 3,000 Zel from drops
Jewel God: 5,000 Zel from drops
Recommended Jewel Parade Levels
Since the Jewel keys are harder to come by at claim of once per week. We recommend to horde the keys until you reach 40+ energy count after roughly 1 month of play, but use them whenever you run out of key inventory spaces or if you really need the Zel. During the first month of play you should not be spending more Zel than you could have earned through the weekend zel Golden vault dungeon.
Maximizing Parade Runs and Energy Spending
In this Metal and Jewel Parade section, we will discuss how to maximize the amount of Metal Parade runs lies within how you take advantage of level up. The trick lies in energy management. Below are a few methods that allow you to gain the most parade units by utilizing proper energy management. In short, the best way for how to get energy faster is through energy refill from level ups.
Waiting for Energy While Dungeon is Open
This tip is straight forward. Let’s say if you have 28 Energy. After running the parade once, you will have 13 energy left over. Wait for 20 minutes to recover 2 energy and you can do another parade session. The trick is that you should dedicate the full hour after unlocking the metal and jewel parade timer.
Refill Energy with Level Up
You get full energy recharge with every level up. So always time the exp that you gain from metal parade from leveling up. In the first situation, you get double the run. For the second situation, you can squeeze in double the parade runs plus 2 potential runs.
Metal Parade Energy Run Trick 1: Multiple of 15 Energy
If you have 30 energy, and say 1500 exp to level. After two runs you will earn 2000 EXP which nets you a level up with two additional runs from the energy recharge. You can combine the previous method and get more runs too.
Metal Parade Energy Run Trick 2: Multiple of 15 Energy Minus 2
This Metal Parade energy optimize strategy combines the first and second tip. For example, if you have 43 energy and 2500 exp to level, you can do two runs of metal parade. And after twenty minutes have passed, you have earned 2 more energy which warrants another run. The three runs grant you with 3000 EXP which results in level up. You can then do another two runs, and after twenty minutes you can do another final run with the energy recharge.
Wait for Energy Recovery While Inside Parade Dungeon
After you have used up all of your energy, you can stay inside the parade dungeon while waiting for your energy to recover. You can stay inside the dungeon even if the timer runs out. However, make sure that you have enough unit spaces since you still will not be allowed to enter the Parade if you have maxed the space.
The key is to be patient and sit through the timer while you recharge the energy. Note that the game may time out you if you have set your device to go on standby mode. Also, do not do multitasking and jump to other apps as the game can time you out too.
By sitting inside the dungeon after the timer ends, you can squeeze in one more parade run.
Gem Method
If you are willing to spend money into the game, using gem to refill your energy up while running the dungeon is the fastest way to max level your characters. However, avoid using this method if you are a non-cash free player, it is almost always better to reserve your gems into rare summon. However, if you do choose to use gem method, we recommend to use it in junction of your level up energy recharge to make the most out of your gem spending.
Avoid Over-Leveling
After you have obtained the metal fusion leveling units, the second most important part is to make the most out of your leveling experience. Please check out our Brave Frontier Complete Fusion guide and the fusion experience calculator that can help you with the planning.
