How to Build Sorcerer the Guide | Aura Kingdom
The Sorcerer class is a Damage over time ranged DPS with Debuff class in Aura Kingdom. Several of its skills can debuff enemies with -Crit, Evade, and Defense. When played and geared well, they can be a force to be reckoned with in PvP with its DoT attacks. However, since its DoT skills cannot be stacked, it’s damage potential is limited mainly by level and the amount of DoT associated with the skill damage. Yet, it also means that decent amount of damage can be achieved with reasonable amount of gears and stats compared to some of the other Burst damage DPS classes. However, sorcerers will never achieve the same amount of damage output compared to other better DPS classes.
In this complete walkthrough, we will explore several options and recommendations to help you obtain a strong sorcerer in the game. The class can be categorized either as a general Sorcerer or PvP specific Sorcerer which focuses on Evade. Lastly, it should note that Sorcerers are really a debuff supportive type of classes and their damage cannot fully compare to the fully geared true DPS, especially if the other DPS classes can kill mobs within 5~10 seconds. Sorcerer Stats Build
In this guide, we have prepared two different Aura Kingdom sorcerer build for you.
1. Generic DPS (30% cooldown, rest in crit, def build)
2. Supportive DPS (50% cooldown, rest in CRIT, def build)
3. PvP Evade Sorcerer (30% or 50% cooldown, rest in CRIT, EVA build)
Contrary to some of the other classes, the reason why you want speed is so that your DoT attacks can tick faster. You only need enough speed so that you can cycle through all of your main Sorcerer’s DoT skills and sub weapon’s main damage skills before cycle back to Sorcerer. The majority of your DoT skills last for about 10 seconds+. However, the only time you wish to go pure speed build is to be able to cast debuffs quickly on several monsters which support your party to go through dungeons faster.
The PvP Evade build will require you to choose Bard as your subclass to take advantage of the class combo skill mastery which gives you a 20% EVA boost.
Offensive Stats
For both generic Sorcerer and PvP Evade Sorcerer, you want to have roughly 30% Speed cooldown to take advantage of 0.8s per tick for your DoT skills.
Generic DPS Build: Place all points into Crit.
Generic Supportive Build: Cap Speed at 50% then place the rest of points int CRIT.
PvP Build: Place more points into Speed to reach the cool down cap of 50%. After which place points into Crit. You want to have faster skill cool down to cast as many DoT skills onto different enemy players. As you will be boosting your EVA with the secret stones, your fully geared CRIT DMG +% is weaker. Your main damage comes from laying DoT skills to the enmies and your DoT’s do not stack.
Note that this build can fare OK in PvE settings, however its damage output is considered weaker because you would spec for EVA rather than Crit DMG.
Defensive Stats
The reasoning behind the difference is again on the secret stone spec. With EVA builds, ideally you want every single part of your gear and skills to focus on EVA to achieve the EVA cap. However, as you focus on the DPS part of game play, you would sacrifice some of that EVA for damage. This can hurt you in terms of training and dungeon grinding with parties. A half-assed EVA DPS build can lead to more deaths compared to you simply upping your defense.
For generic Sorcerer DPS build place points into pure DEF.
If you are going PvP Evade, place points into EVA.
Additional Notes on Critical
Adding Crit stat point increases the Critical Rate. This includes Critical Rate the following:
Normal Attack Damage
Skill Attack Damage
Skill Heal amount
Damage Over Time Damage.
However, the Critical damage output does not really shine until you have roughly 200%+ Crit DMG boost.
Sorcerer Gears
We will cover some basic guidelines to gear up your Sorcerer. Learn how to get and make your gears stronger, please jump to our Aura Kingdom Gear guide.
In general, if you are going for highest damage possible, spec for CRIT rate +%. If you are going PvP, spec for highest EVA possible. Sometimes you may even consider breaking through the 95% EVA cap to counter enemy player’s ACC boosts.
Armors and Costume
Generic DPS: Go for the gear bonus stats with Dmg and Crit, your goal is to dish out as much damage as possible.
PvP: Focus on EVA gears to further your dodge rate.
Trophy
You have a choice of going for Argus family of gears to improve your Crit rate and Crit damage. Or you can buff your EVA further, make your judgement call based on your need.
Accessory
Like Trophy, wear your level cap yellow gear for EVA if your going PvP, or Crit if you are going for damage.
Sorcerer Secret Stone Selections
Now for secret stones, there are two stats on each of the secret stone. Below is how to grab the best secret stones for your build.
DPS: Inlay for CRIT Damage +%. The highest Crit Damage +% on a secret stone is +6%. You want to have whole sets of crit damage +6% on all of your gears. With all 7 pieces of equipment with secret stone crit damage, you can get +42%.
PvP: Inlay for pure EVA secret stones, they can go up to have +2% EVA on each of the stone.
Now for the second set of stats on the stone. You will usually get stones for damage against certain elements, however these damage bonus does not benefit your DoT attacks, so you are better off with other stats on the stone if possible. Some of the best stat include ACC to help you with PvP against other EVA builds, or Damage Taken -% to offset damage when you do get hit.
Sorcerer’s Skills
Below is a list of all the Sorcerer’s skills and how to use them.
Soul Draw: Gain some damage dealt as HP. This skill is useful when you have higher attack. A strong attack will get you tons of HP back. Use your enemies as a moving potion.
Demon Seal: Demon seal should be one of the attack openers in your rotation as it let enemies take more subsequent damage. It is a great debuff in a party setting where all of your party members can deal additional damage to the mobs.
Shadow Bolt: This is a single control skill that immobilize target for 4 seconds. You can make it into a DoT attack through skill mastery.
Blood Seal: A great skill to be used against smaller and weaker mobs in dungeon. After casting Blood seal to a range of mobs, you will pretty much get HP back while attacking, great to be combined with dungeon mob luring.
Rejuvenation Mantra: The skill randomly cures one Debuff, has heal over time, and deal DoT to the enemy. This is a decent skill to have on at all times whenever you can.
Flame Impact: A decent skill to have that deal damage to a enemy in a line. You can make it into a DoT skill too with your skill mastery.
Nightmare Totem: A crowd control skill to put nearby targets into sleep mode. Great to get some breathing room while your Heal over time skill heals you.
Powerful Strike Mantra: One of the weakest party buff as it only buffs entire party for minor amount of damage.
Sorcerer’s Skill Mastery
General Skills
Out of these skills, the best one is Corrosive Shadow as it can increase your DMG output by making one more skill into DoT. However, in some of the hardest level dungeon you may consider to use Entangling seal instead to lower the damage done to your party members.
Corrosive Shadow: Make Shadow Bolt into a DPS attack.
Entangling Seal: Lower enemy DMG by -8% with Shadow Bolt.
Soul Draw: Increase damage absorption by 1%.
Attack Spec
The best attack spec to use is Callosness as it increases your Crit DMG amount. You do not want to use Zeal as Zeal does not affect your DoT damage.
Divine Power: DMG +5%
Divine Power (Green): DMG +7%. Obtained via level 30 dungeon.
Focus: SPD +5%
Focus (Green): SPD +7%, obtained via Ultimate Skill Lucky Pack: Attack Spec or level 30 dungeon at 3rd boss drop.

Boost: SPD +3%, DMG +2%
Boost (Green): SPD +5%, DMG +2%
Callosness: Crit +3%, Crit DMG +4%
Advance Skills
Out of these skills, the best one is Flame Shura. You want as many DoT skills on your belt as that is your main damage output.
Flame Lotus: Increase Flame Impact crit rate by 10%.
Flame Ashura: Make Flame Impact into DoT damage.
Regenerative Barrier: Add 3 seconds to Rejuvenation Mantra.
Defense Spec
The best mastery to use is either Iron Wall or Agility depending on which stat you are going for.

Courage: Max HP +3%
Extreme Speed: EVA +3%, Move SPD +5%
Tactical Spec
Go for either decrease target DMG or DEF. In general, you may want to decrease target’s DMG in hell mode to lower boss’s attack power, and DEF in party mode so that your party can kill the monsters faster.
Organized Sabotage: Every attack has a 25% chance to decrease the target’s DMG by 10%
Break Defense: Every attack has a 25% chance to decrease the target’s DEF by 10%
Preemptive Strike: Every attack has a 25% chance to decrease the target’s CRIT +5% and CRIT DMG by 10%.

Special Skills
Use Song of Winds if you are sub Bard. Or you can use Omniscience to boost your SPD if you have a generic DPS build.
Fiery Song: Fortify Song of Winds, EVA +20%
Percussive Song: Fortify song of winds, Move SPD +5%
Frenzied Sprite: Summon Fire Sprite 5 levels above.
Vicious Sprite: Fire Sprite duration +10 sec

The Best Defense (Green): 2% of DMG added to DEF.
Capoeira: 1% of DMG added to EVA
Deep Blue: DMG +2%, Malice -5%.
Omniscience: 1% of DEF added to SPD.
Sorcerer Envoy’s Path
For your Sorcerer’s Envoy path skills, go for skills first that boost your Crit and Crit rate and EVA to further your survival rate. In general, you do not want to use your points on HP or Def. You do not need the straight damage either as it does not improve your damage output.
Envoy’s for Better Damage
Since you will be relying the majority of your damage on Crit and Crit damage. Focus on Weak Point Analysis and Sorcerer Studies and Sorcerer Training. You do not need the straight damage boost envoy’s. Consider getting all the Attack Swiftness as well to improve your casting rate. The easier you can reach either 30% or 50% speed, the more free points that you can place into CRIT to improve your DoT damage.
You should also get Big Game Hunter as it can stack to help your teammates kill bosses faster. Sorcery is a so so skill as you only really have 1 skill that is dark element which is the Shadow Bolt.
Note on Combo Skills: Now the active damage combo skills with either Sub Wizard or Bard all come with very high cooldown rate. This renders them in effective in most PvE situations. Although you may still find them useful in PvP settings for their instant one shot wonder damage.
Defensive Envoy Paths
Bob and Weave to boost your Evasion rate.
After you have placed points into the crit %, crit damage and cooldown deduction, you can consider putting more Def to boost your DEF and HP to add a little HP.
Secondary Class Choices
For the sub weapon choice, there are a couple of choices for you. You can also go out of our recommended sub by checking out the differences between different sub weapons in Aura Kingdom.
DPS: Go with Wizard to get some additional AoE attacks or you can use Gunslinger for their relatively faster casting attack skills. Or it should note that you obtain combo skills with Wizard which gives you some additional powerful attacks.
PvP: Use Bard as your sub weapon to take advantage of Song of the Wind for the additional EVA boost.
