How do Status Effects Work | Brave Frontier
Many of the Brave Frontier’s BB skills have the potential to inflict various Status Effects including buff and debuffs. In this guide, we will go over each of these status effects to help you understand them, and how to counter and make the best out of your buffs.

Poison
The status effect is shown as green bubbles when inflicted.
Takes off 10% of your opponents HP every turn, regardless of how much HP they have. The poison effect only lasts 2 turns.
Poison is countered by Antidote. The antidote takes 1x Blue Drop and 1x Donut to synthesize.
Spheres
Poison Light increases resistance to poison.
Poison Shiv adds possible poison effect to normal attack.
Weakness
This debuff is shown as broken shield.
Your defense stats gets reduced to half which makes you take more damage from attacks.
Weakness is countered by Tonic. The tonic requires 1x Blue Drop and 1x Buru Nut to synthesize.
Spheres
Faint Light increases resistant to Weak.
Demon Rifle adds possible weak effect to normal attack.
Sickness
The debuff is shown as a red cross.
Your recovery stats gets reduced which lowers the amount of Heal or BB gauge received.
Sickness is countered by Tonic. The tonic requires 1x Blue Drop and 1x Buru Nut to synthesize.
Spheres
Growth Light adds resistance to sick.
Vine Lance adds possible sick effect to normal attack.
Injury
Injury is shown as a broken sword on the status screen.
Your attack strength gets reduced which reduces your damage output.
Weakness is countered by Tonic. The tonic requires 1x Blue Drop and 1x Buru Nut to synthesize.
Spheres
Broken Light adds resistance to Injury effect.
Beast Spear adds possible Injury effect to normal attack.
Paralysis
You cannot attack. This is one of the most deadliest debuff as you are paralyzed for up to three turns, during which you can be paralyzed again if the status is laid again. Affected enemy units will only miss the next turn.
Paralysis is countered by Stimulant which requires 1 Blue Drop and 1x Bara Nut to craft.
Numb Light adds resistance to Paralysis.
Thunder Bow adds possibility of paralysis to the normal attack.
Curse
This debuff is shown as a red skull next to your character.
You cannot use your Brave Burst and the BB gauge does not fill.
Holy Water is used to counter the Curse. It requires 1 Blue Drop and 1 Suzu Nut to craft.
Lastly, the Refined Gem is the sphere that protects against all status debuffs.
