Basic Dodge and Block Overview
Blocking and dodging enemy attacks in RaiderZ is a talent. You will have to take multiple concepts into consideration when preparing your strategy. The most important aspect is the timing, different monsters have their basic timing and optimum moment of time to block or dodge. This timing can change or be effected depending on your network speed and lag. Therefore it is hard to say exactly when is the perfect execution because everyone’s net speed and lag situation may be a little different.
Dodges and Blocks have chances of failing or success because of such. You should only depend on it as a method to lower your damage taken. Because of their non-100% success chances, you will often have to fall back on your gears and teammates to ensure successful monster hunts in RaiderZ.
RaiderZ Block Attack
You can block pretty much all of the attacks. It should be noted that sometimes the attack can still break through your Raiderz blocks. What happens is that parts of the damage will still pass through and be done to you, think about it as a momentum attack that your RaiderZ character still has to suffer the shock. For monsters that use skills involve multiple attacks, only the first attack may be blocked and you will still get damaged by the subsequent waves of damage.
Defender type character can improve their block chances via the passive talent. In addition, there are some skills which are only available after the successful block.
RaiderZ Dodge Attack
Any classes can perform dodge with no penalty, thus you should dodge as often as possible. The bottom line with dodging is that you will have to get far away before the attack starts or the RaiderZ damage will still land. This has something to do with the timing too that you will have to anticipate when the RaiderZ mobs will start the attack.
The RaiderZ dodge will automatically fail when you are interrupted. Lastly, similar to block, the defender skill tree has some special skills that can be used after successful dodge.
RaiderZ Block or Dodge Timing Guideline
The most successful block and dodges in game that you can do are when the monster is preparing their attack. For example, monsters have these preparation stages or battle motions before their attacks. Such as trees when they lift their foot, you can gauge your timing for RaiderZ dodge or block based on these tells. Depending on the different skills and tell used, you will have to act accordingly, think of it as poker tells where each of the monsters have their unique skill and damage timing. However, as mentioned earlier in this RaiderZ block and dodge guide, your internet lag will play a huge part into the timing estimate as well.
