Resources
Before we go deeper into other key terms, we will first discuss the different resources available in Good Game Empire: Four Kingdoms. You will need both the wood and stones to construct the various tools. If you play often you will see citizens walking around with specific resource signs, tap on them to collect.
Below is a list of all the resources in the game and their basic functions.
Wood: Produced by Woodcutters. The main resource to upgrade your buildings and secondary resource
Stone: Produced by Stone Quarries. The secondary resource to upgrade your buildings and main resource for castle walls.
Food: Produced by Farmhouses. The upkeep cost for your standing military units and the resource needed to recruit them.
Coin: Coins are needed to recruit soldiers and conducting military missions including attack and spy missions. Coins are also used to transport resources between castles and outposts.
Ruby: The real money currency of the game, you can obtain rubies through quest, login bonus, and real cash purchase.
Getting Coins
It should be noted that you can obtain coins through tax collector which is affected by your total population. You can also obtain coin by attacking baron castles and other players.
Building
Civil buildings
Woodcutter: Produces wood
Stone quarry: Produces stone
Dwelling: Increases population and therefore tax revenue
Farmhouse: Produces food
Bakery: Reduces food consumption of all the soldiers stationed here
Town house: Increases the population without significantly disturbing public order
Master builder: Reduce the resources required to build and upgrades the castle.
Storehouse: Increases storage capacity
Marketplace: Provides market barrows to transport resources
Sawmill: Increases the productivity of all woodcutters within the castle
Stonemason: Increases the productivity of all stone quarries within the castle
Flour mill: Increases the productivity of all farmhouses within the castle
Military buildings
Tavern: Sets the maximum possible number of agents. Level up will allow you to have more agents.
Guardhouse: Increases the number of city guards in the castle. Level up will allow you to have more city guards.
Hideout: Protect some of your resources from being plundered by enemies.
Fire station: Reduces damage from fire during looting and sabotage. Level up will allow greater reduction from fire damages.
Military hospital: Ensure that a minimum proportion of defenders always survive a battle in the castle. Level up will allow greater proportion of survivors.
Estate: Sets how many castellans you have available. Level up will allow you to have more castellans.
Watchtower: Alerts you earlier and more accurately of attacking armies. Level field of vision
Drill ground: Batter training will make your soldiers ready for combat much quickly
Research Tower: Unlock research
Barracks: This is where soldiers are recruited. Level up will increase your recruitment speed.
Defense workshop: Defense tools are produced here. Level up will increase your production speed.
Encampment: Sets the maximum possible number of commanders. Level up will allow you to have more commander which in term will allow you to send more troops at same time.
Siege workshop: Siege tools are produced here. Level up will increase your production speed.
Stables: Unlock horses to speed up the army’s movement. Level up will allow you greater extent the effect.
Battlements
Castle wall: Protect your castle against attackers. Level up will provide greater defense bonus from the wall.
Castle moat: Offers great protection against attackers. Level up will increase the defense of castle walls.
Moat Provides extra protection against attackers. Level up will increase the defense of castle walls.
Population and Public Order
Population
One of the objective of the game is to grow your kingdom’s population. Population is increased through constructing civilian buildings or dwellings. As you upgrade your dwellings, your population will increase. See the table below. Population is important, because collect tax is your main source of income for coins. You need coins to send out troops on combat attacks.
Public Orders
Public order represents the general mood of the population at your castle and your outposts. Public order affect the production of resources and recruitment of military units and tools. Your goal is to reach around 200% public order rate so that your resource production is optimized.
Public order can be calculated using the equation below:
Decorative item + Protection – Population – Unrest = Result

Increasing Your Public Order
You can improve your public order number through the following methods:
1. Decoration Items
2. Protection Rating from your Tower
Your public order number is decreased through the following:
1. An increase in population
2. Unrest after being attacked by Robber Barons or other players when you are defeated.
Special Units Overview
Anyone who is not civilian and not a part of castle population. Not all of them consume your resource (meaning they eat your bread). Some can even help you with your productivity.
Soldiers
Soldiers are recruited to be part of the military troop. Soldiers are not part of the population; however, they consume your food. The chart below summary how much food they consume. Soliders will desert your castle if you are not able to supple enough food.
Merchants
Like soldiers, merchants are not part of your population. Merchants are overseer, tax collector, drill instructor, and marauder. They do not consume your food. They help you increase your resource productivity with a small fee (rubies).
Agents
Agents are specialists that you pay to go on espionage and sabotage missions. They are not part of the population and do not consume your food. They stay in your tavern.
City Guards
City guards are not part of the population. They stay in guard house, but do not consume your food. Their job is to prevent your castle from espionage or sabatage from other players.
Castellans
Castellans are not part of the population. You can find them in the estate. They do not consume food. You will need castellans in order to establish outposts.
Commander
Commander are not part of the population. You can locate commander in the encampment. The numbers of troops you can send out are limited by the number of commanders at your encampment.
Mercenary General
When your commanders are not available, you can hire shadow mercenaries to fight for you with rubies. They are not part of the population.
