Farm Order Management
Farm order is really easy to manage at the beginning of the game, you have limited products and you always have something on order to sell. However, as you advance through the game, you will notice that you will start to receive orders you cannot handle. There are a few techniques or strategies to help you finish more orders.
1. The timing of finishing orders.
Finish orders that are the easiest first while some of the “harder” orders are still on your board. The game is designed so that no two item would repeat as long as they are still on the job order board. You do not want to turn in the hard ones only to have it refreshed it again on your order board. It hurts your income and EXP.
2. Keep your item inventory low, especially the “easy” materials.
Another important aspect is that the job order looks at your existing inventory to give you jobs. What you would is to keep your low level material with fast maturity as low as possible. You will be able to generate more money by stocking up on the high value goods, and more exp from turn in work orders from low number of fast generation.
For example, you want to keep relatively no wheat, corn, or carrot other than for your farm animal feeds. However, you would want to keep peaches and fishes and other high value materials.
As a generic rule, any base material that takes less than 5 minutes to produce should be not kept.
3. Cancel Job Orders Fast
When you have a few “hard” jobs that deal with high end items or items that will take hours to get. Cancel those fast so that they can be renewed to make room for the ones you can complete. It is very important since “stale” jobs hinder your EXP and money gain in FV2: Country Escape.
4. Keep 1 “Ready to Turn In” Job Order
To avoid having a barn inventory gridlock, you could keep one job order open while you are working on others. This way if you “mess up”, you can still unlock yourself quite easily by doing a job. A grid lock happens when your barn is full of stuff, but you cannot start any additional produce or collect from farm plots.
Managing Your Barn Inventory
1. Avoid “Overstocking” Any One Material or Final Product
When you overstock any of the material, you can run into barn house inventory grid lock quite easily. Manage your inventory well so that the low value materials count remain low. Treat your barn storage space like they are money.
2. Use Shovels or Other Tools Right Away
Your job is to save as much room in your barn as possible. Clear out those empty spaces will ensure that your Farmville 2: Country Escape farm runs smoothly.
The Best Way to Use Your Keys
Whether you are ready to start spending money or planning to in the latest game Farmville 2: Country Escape, using keys on the right items are extremely important. We have prepared a complete guide to help you get the most out of your precious keys.
Upgrading Your Barn Space
Keys are great to be used to upgrade your barn space especially in the early part of the game. If you are loaded with keys, they are absolute wonderful at mid stage (level 15+). You have tons of items that you need to juggle, and a few final products that are nice to have. By having those additional barn spaces from keys, you unlock the potential of having a high inventory space.
Yes, later upgrades require quite a bit of Barn Nails and Barn Padlocks which can put a dent with your wallet. Yet, they can prove to be absolutely necessary if you want to advance as fast as possible. We recommend to first invest and upgrade it to 80 spaces first and see if you need more spaces past level 20.
Animal – Sheep Only
Because the cost of having second animal is set at a steep 50 keys, you should not use your keys to get any second animals with the exception of sheep. Even then, you should use your keys on other aspect of the game first if you plan on putting no real money into the game.
Sheep is an important produce animals due to the use of Wool. You need wool to craft for blankets which in turn lets you enter the Merryweather Mine. Merryweather Mine is one of the most important collection point after level 18 since it produces high earning ores not available elsewhere.
Note: 1 Sheep is enough to carry you through the mine, but if you want to produce more wool for other items, you will most likely need a second or even third sheep. Below is a list of keys required to unlock additional animals.
2 Animals – 50 Keys
3 Animals – 150 Keys
Farmplots and Trees
You can purchase the first two farmplots for coins, you can purchase the third and on with keys. You typically do not need to spend keys on any farm plots as you can gather most of them quite easily. However, you can consider investing in the third farm plots for some of the longer maturity crops such as peach and strawberry since the cost is so low at 5 keys. However, as you go up, the key cost goes up steeply as well making them not worthwhile.
Below is a list of keys required to unlock additional farming plot. Note that the farmplot purchased with keys still require delivery time.
3rd: 5 Keys
4th: 10 Keys
5th: 50 Keys
6th: 150 Keys? (Need Confirmation)
Workshops
Getting additional workshops with keys is where the money and leveling is at. You can get more workshops and purchase the raw materials from trading, then resell the finished products at much higher profit margin. However, the third building is usually the most economical and the key cost from then on increase quite rapidly.
In general, we would recommend to get 1 additional building for all of workshop if your economy is allowed. If not, consider purchasing these buildings first: Pastry Oven, Dinner Oven as they unlock. Windmill after you get your second prized animal for faster prize animal feed crafting. And other buildings if you deem necessary.
Below is what required in terms of keys to get additional buildings. Note that the buildings purchased with keys still require delivery time.
Second: 10 Keys
Third: 30 Keys
Fourth: 60 Keys
Fifth: ?? (Need info)
Sixth: ?? (Need info)
You can also use keys to upgrade individual workshop into x2 or x3 mode. The time required is about 70% more of the x1 mode. Using this mode is great for buildings that you know you make multiples of. However, the tricky part is that you need to have enough barn inventory spaces to fill up both of the orders at the same time. It can be hard to pull off if you have not spent the keys to expand your barn storage.
What You Should Not Use Keys On
Now we discuss on some other things that you can use keys for, and why they may not worth it.
Speed Up
This include speeding up farmhand searches, Eagle Eye Eddie quests, and building timers.
You should almost never use keys to speed up any of the progress. Being patient can seriously save your keys bank in the long run. While you are waiting, you can
Area Expansion
Although using keys to quickly expand your farms can be tempting, however it is really a waste of keys unless you are loaded in real life. You will need to turn in orders to get EXP and level up, and in the process you would save enough coins to pursue the natural ingame progression.
The only exception to this is that you are at the end game stage where it can cost a couple million coins to unlock an area, then it becomes worthwhile to spend the 500 key to unlock the area. However, at that time you probably have enough resource buildings that you can simply cruise through the game to save up coins slowly.
Last Minute Random Item Purchase
Throughout the game, you may be prompted to purchase the items to start the process immediately. Never go for those options as the items are almost always overpriced. Do not spend your keys for them. You are better off to trade or craft those items yourself, invest for the future instead of just a one time consumable.
The Power of Speed Seed
Speed Seed can be instantly used to fully mature your tree or farm plots. Use the speed seed on the plots that require lots of time to grow. If you are short on cash, the speed seed can prove to be an awesome money generator at higher levels.
Trading Globally and with Friends and Co-Op Group
Farmville 2: Country Escape has incorporated a trading system where you can place your items for trade. There are a few farm item trading strategies that make you money. However they fall into the following categories:
1. Buy Other People’s Goods to Sell
You can check through the shops from the upper right button to see if people sell things for cheaper. Buy those and resell the goods right away. Focus on trading the items with higher “time value” such as materials that take more than 15 minutes. We found most success and money profit dealing with expensive items.
2. Retail for Convenience
You usually have better odds at selling your farm goods when you sell them 1 by 1. Sometimes people just need one more item to progress such as Biscuit for Grandma’s Glade. When this happens you can usually sell them at a higher price for money.
3. Item Variation
Sell unique items from your farm stall ensure that people may find what they are looking for. If you sell the same items, the chances are that the people who see your list may never buy.
4. Leave One Empty Slot
This tip can help you to unlock your farm’s barn inventory when you go into production gridlock. However, if you manage your farm fairly well, consider selling goods with all stall slots to generate more money.
5. Quick Level Up
If people are selling their stall items at or below order price. You can essentially make a ton of money or leveling up fast by buying from other people to quickly finish your own orders.
How to Fertilize Your Friends
Fertilizing your friend’s farm plots and trees is important especially when they return the favor. The fertilizer generates double the crops. However, choosing the right farm to fertilize is important. Do not fertilize plots such as wheat as their effects is really weak. Choose higher end plots such as peaches and other high timer crops.
To fertilize your farm friend’s plots, simply go to their farm and use the fertilizer.
Use Max Farm Hands for Searches
Whenever you can, use Max Farm Hands to search locations that are important to you. For example, before your barn upgrade 1 you need nails from Grandma’s Glade, so at this time send out all the farm hands there for the nails. For Barn level 2 you start needing the padlocks from the pond, so send all of your farm hands to the wanted areas.
Aim for Expensive Material’s Final Products
If you are going for more money in the game, aim to create the expensive final products. It is better to stack a few of them and wait for the farm order. When the farm order asks for your entire stash of high end produce, it can turn all those hard work into a pile of gold coins.
Be Social
Although unlike other Facebook’s Farmville games where you cannot progress without friends, having friends in FV2: Country Escape can help you move much faster. The coin boost from speed seed gift and friend fertilizer is too good to pass up. Be social and help you friends, you will be able to level up faster and make more money along the way.
Buy Keys with Real Money
We save the best for the last. The best place to use your real money is to purchase keys. Invest those keys with additional buildings or barn house spaces. When you are low with cash, blast your crops with instant finishes from keys to make tons of money instantly.
