Avoid Accidental Fusion or Evolution
To avoid you accidentally feeding your team cards, always “FAV” the cards that you wish to keep. You FAV a card by tapping the favorite star to the upper left of the card to lock it. By locking it, you will not accidentally sell the card neither.
Dragon Coins Fusion
In this section, we will go over everything that you need to know about fusion, the cost, and how to plan your Dragon Coins monster fusion strategies. Fusing the cards to level them up results in higher stats including HP, ATK, and DEF.
Picking Your Fusion Feeder Cards
In general, all of your Common and Uncommon monster cards should be fusion fodders. You should not level them up let alone evolve them. In most cases, your R and SR cards will way overpower your weak cards in comparison. This is generally true even if your common and uncommon cards have the elemental advantage. This means that you should never level up or upgrade your common and uncommon cards.
Right at the beginner stage, use friend’s summon and see if you can get lucky with a few R cards to start upgrading them.
Keep Your Fusion Cost Low
The cost of your fusion attempts are determined by the base card. The feeder cards play no role in the cost of fusion. This means that there are a few techniques for you to conserve your gold coins while fusing.
1. Fuse Multiple Monsters at the same time.
By fusing multiple monster at the same time, you can take advantage of a lower fusion cost from the lower level. The cost is calculated such as your first monster costs more gold coins, your subsequent monsters after the first cost less. So always always use up the 5 fusion slots at the same time.
2. Cap monsters before level up.
Combine step 1 with this fusion strategy, cap your monster’s experience prior to leveling up. The purpose is so that you can get more level ups from your multiple monster fusions. You can do so by mix and match different feeder monsters. However, you still always want to fuse 5 monsters with the same fusing attempt.
3. Multi-Layer Fusion
This strategy is not useful at all. The concept is to fuse feeder cards into a middle feeder, then feed those exp into your end feeder. The EXP loss from tier your fusion attempts is too great. You are better off doing a straight fusion straight to your main card all the time.
Match Elemental Affinity for Extra EXP Gain
You can get bonus fusion experience points when you fuse with monsters of the same element.
Growth Rate and Fusion EXP Level Up
Different monsters in the game have different growth rates ranked as Fast, Normal, or Slow. These growth rate tiers match with the exp needed to obtain level ups. In general, fast growth requires less EXP, but have lower stats when maxed. Whereas the slow growth monsters require more EXP, but have higher stats when maxed. The normal growth monster’s stats and EXP rate lies in between.
What this means is that you can start the game by having a few fast growth monsters, so that you can stack up your team faster. However, once you are getting to the mid game and farming stages, gradually switch your team make up to normal or slow growth monsters for higher stats potential.
Fusion and Skill Level Up
You have a chance of leveling up the skills when you fuse them with another card with the same skill. Higher skill levels can definitely help you throughout the game, so keep a lookout for the cards.
Fusing Special EXP Units
Dragon Coins contain EXP units that are specifically made as EXP feeders. These monsters include steely, rare steelys, and a few others. These units offer the best experience points.
Dragon Coins Evolution
We will go over everything you need to know about Evolution in Dragon Coins.
Evolution Basic
Evolved cards do not change their rarity, however they will have a “plus sign” next to their rarity rating. For example R becomes R+ and SR becomes SR+ after evolution. Evolve cards have roughly 20% more stats than their non evolved counter parts. In addition, they are imbued with leader skills which are activated when you set them as leaders.
Note that your friends can use the leader skills too if they ask for your support in their missions.
Evolution Requirements
To evolve your monsters, you must fuse and level them up to at least level 20. Evolving monsters require “materials” or other monster cards. The materials are typically copies of the same card or other cards. The material cards do not have a level requirement.
Evolution Stats and Fusion Level Past 20
Contrary some of the other similar trading card or RPG puzzle games. In Dragon Coins, Your evolved cards do not benefit from any “additional” base level or material card level prior to the evolution. This means that you generally do not want to level past 20 for the cards that you wish to evolve later.
Fusion and Evolution Planning Factors
Do NOT Fuse Past Level 20 Until Your Full Team is Level 20
This method is helpful in the beginning when you are still setting up your team. The EXP and gold coins required for higher level fusions is not as cost effective than training a full level 20 team.
The reason behind this strategy is so that whenever you get additional copies or R or higher cards, you can make an easy choice of either evolving them or stashing them for later.
Picking Which Cards to Evolve First
You generally want to start your evolution chain with the weakest monsters on your team, unless they have suitable replacements. The reason is that you typically need another copy of the same card to evolve them. However, having two strong cards on your team is better than just have a upgraded copy.
For example: If you have a team with two R and 3 U’s. It is much better to keep the R, rather than having a R+ with 4 U’s. However, the situation changes when you have a full team of R’s, then at that time you want to evolve your R cards.
The only exception is that you are looking to get a certain leader skill fast, and the only way for you to is to evolve the rare cards that you have.
Do Not Evolve Multiple Team Members at the same time
Since your newly evolved monsters restart their levels, it makes them extremely weak in the beginning. You typically want to have a full team ready to support, or have a replacement member until you can train him back to higher level.
You never want to evolve multiple non-substitute member in your team. Having a bunch of level 1’s will make your team weak for a long time.
Have Feeders Ready Prior to Evolution
Before you evolve your character card, always try to have replacements. If you do not have a substitute card, it is best to have a full team of feeder common and uncommon ready. Your goal is to get your character to a higher level as fast as possible, so they are combat and mission ready.
Prepare a Rainbow Team and Gradually Convert to Mono Element
The hardest part for the game is to plan out to have a good team. In the beginning of the game you are better to have a rainbow team, as you move through the stages, feed them the corresponding elements via Fusion. However, during mid game having a single elemental team will make your fight through elemental stages much easier.
