Zel is used for fusing and evolving your character cards.

Ways to Get More Zel and Karma

Below are all the ways for you to obtain more Zel. We will note which of the ways for you to obtain the karma.

Out of all the methods, the weekend gold dungeon proves to grant the highest zel gain. However, by doing all the other little things, you can conserve your zel and earn more over the long time.

Do Quests and Open Up Chests
Overkill Enemies
Sell Card Characters (Jewel or Mimic)
Weekend Special Vortex Battle: The Golden Vault
Equip Zelnite Ring
Use Thief Leon as Leader
Home Town Upgrade and Collection
Sell Items

Do Quests and Open Up Chests

This is pretty straight forward that you earn Zel and Karma during questing. In general, the more advanced you are in the game, the more Zel and Karma that they offer. So unless you are farming for specific items or low level BB leveling material. Always aim for the most advanced quest dungeon that you can handle.

As you progress through the quest, the mobs will drop treasure chests. Remember to always pick those up instead of using “proceed”!

Overkill Enemies

No matter which stage of the game that you are at, you should always use all 6 units to overkill any given enemy. Doing so awards you with additional item drops. This include if you are farming for any feeder or item materials at lower level quest dungeons. Always focus your

Sell Card Characters (Jewel or Mimic)

There are character cards specifically designed so that you sell them for Zel. This include the “jewel” enemies from weekend Golden vault dungeon such as Jewel Ghost, Jewel God, and Jewel King. You should always sell those characters for additional Zel.

There are some that are designed to be evolution or fusion materials such as the mimic. If you do not need those evolution materials any time soon, consider selling them for Zel at an earlier stage, especially when you are running low with the character card spaces.

Weekend Special Vortex Battle: The Golden Vault

Access the Weekend Special Dungeon Golden Vault and get the Zel you need. You typically can earn enough Zel over the weekend that will last your needs through the week. You can also capture Jewel type units mentioned in the previous section, which can be sold for a good amount of money Zel.

In general, if you are able to, you should always save enough energy to go for Level 3 Golden Vaults as they give out the best gold to energy ratio.

Level 1 Contents: Jewel Ghost Chest comes with 1,000 Zel, potentially a Jewel Ghost or two. The boss Jewel Ghost does not leave a chest, but is available for capture (and sells well).

Level 2 Contents: Jewel Ghost Chest comes with 2,000 Zel, and possible Jewel King Chest with 5,000 Zel. Level house has Jewel Ghost and Jewel King mobs.

Level 3 Contents: Jewel Ghost Chests with 3,000 Zel, Jewel King Chest at 7,000 Zel, and Jewel God Chest at 10,000 Zel. Level 3 contains all of the jewel mobs.

Equip Zelnite Ring

You can craft or synthesize Zelnite Ring sphere from a level 14 Sphere house. The ring requires 85,000 karma and the following materials:

1. Prized Stone x3
Can be farmed from the following locations:
Friday Vortex Lvl. 3
[St. Lamia] St. Lamia Palace (Fourfold Pillar in Treasure Chests/Sergio)
[St. Lamia] Sacred Mt. Craylia (Ruler of the Water – Undine)

2. Honor Bone x20 (Obtained via Friend Gifting)
3. Honor Pelt x20 (Obtained via Friend Gifting)
4. Skill Bracer x1
Crafted from Level 4 Sphere House, require the following materials.
Materials: Champion Axe x1
Famous Blade x1
Blue Stone x3
Honor Claw x10

5. Holy Blade x1
Crafted from level 6 Sphere house, require the following materials:
Famous Blade x1
Blue Claw x10

The best way to farm for Zel is to equip your entire team with 5 Zelnite rings.

Use Thief Leon as Leader

Thief Leon or any units in its evolution tree has the leader skill which boost your Zel earning during Brave Frontier Spark. The additional Zel that can drop because of the bonus can be quite significant if you simply keep him on your team.

It is much easier to capture Thief Leon as its 1 star form and evolve it to higher stars. If you are just starting out, keep him as a part of your team to earn additional Brave Frontier Zel.

Home Town Upgrade and Collection

Your home “Town” has some functions that can generate additional Zel and Karma income for you. These collections include Mountain, Farm, River, and Forest. You can collect from those places when they “shimmer”. Invest in them earlier on before you have enough Karma to upgrade your Sphere house. Note that you can immediately collect from them when you upgrade them to a higher level.

Upgrade them early and collect from them often to make back your Karma investment over time. The great thing about collecting from these places is that they cost no energy.

Sell Items

This Zel making method is relatively weaker. When you are a couple Zel short, you can consider selling some of the items or materials that you think you may never use. However, the Zel that you could earn from this method is very limited.
