Baseball Superstars 2013 Pitcher Stats and Abbreviations
Pitcher Stats
Speed: The speed of the pitch will help you obtain more strikes.
Curve: Increase the accuracy and curve of curve balls.
Control: Higher controls makes your balls more consistent, this helps you to throw pitches closer to your target point.
Mental: At the beginning of the pitch, the pitcher’s mental value is compared versus the batter’s mental value. If any skill is present, the one with the higher mental value’s skill will be in effect.
Pitcher Related Abbreviations
ERA: Earned-run average, (ER times 9) divided by IP
Inning: How many innings played.
ER: Earned runs
Hits: Hits
Win: Games won
Loss: Games lost
Hold: Holds. Earned when a relief pitcher enters a game in a save situation (see SvOp, below, for definition), records at least one out, and leaves the game without having given up the lead
Save:
K: Strike out
PC: Pitchers’caughtstealing. Total runners caught stealing when the player who initiates the fielding play is the pitcher
BB: Bases on balls
WHIP: Walks plus hits divided by Innings Pitched

POP: A POP out is when a ball is hit in the air enough that one of the fielders could easily get under the ball and catch it for a routine play.

Batter Stats
Power: Increase the range and therefore more home runs.
Contact: Increase the chance of you hitting the ball.
Baserunning: Have better runs based on the range of hits done.
Mental: The mental value in Baseball Superstars 2013 is compared with the pitcher. The winning side’s skills will go into effect.
