Aura Kingdom Dungeon Basic
If you are new to the MMORPG, the idea of instance dungeons may be new to you. Instance dungeons are like parallel universes or “instance” maps made for either solo or a group of 5 people.
In general, the dungeons are designed so that you may have challenge when you are equipped with gears of that same level range. However, once you have gears that are 10+ levels, most of the dungeons then become a cake walk. Below is a quick list of all the Aura Kingdom dungeons and their recommended level break downs.
Hell Mode are similar to party except that the mobs hit about twice as hard compared to party.
Recruiting for Party
To add or recruit people to your dungeon runs, click party search on the upper right and recruit to select the appropriate levels.
After you have a party, you can “teleport” your members to your channel at the entrance of the dungeon map. This is important as it can save time from waiting for all the members to come to your instance dungeon party. Note that all the members have to click “ok” for everyone to be teleport.
Special Note: At times there can be teleport bugs where some members land on the wrong channel. We notice that it happens the most when the same party tries to teleport a couple of times after some members drop out before you enter the dungeon.
In addition, as soon as someone enters the instance dungeon, the teleport will not work. So make sure that all of your party team members have arrived and ready to go.
Team Member Selection
To be the most effective with your Aura Kingdom dungeon runs, you typically want to select 1 Main Guardian as the tank. 1 Bard as the main healer. 3 DPS classes which are anything NOT Guardian or Bard. You generally want to only have 1 sorcerer or 1 duelist because their DPS mainly comes from their DoT attacks, and the higher level player can override the DoT skill of the lower level party member.
Dungeon Attempts and Reset Time
Depending on the dungeon that you have, the “solo” dungeons typically have 2~3 attempts, party dungeons have 3 attempts, and hell dungeon has 1 attempt.
Alabastren Temple, Deep’s Cavern, Miner’s Steppe, Cameo Cave, and Gydaie Glen reset every 2 hours so you get one entry (Hard, solo & party modes) every 2 hours.
Skandia resets every 3 hours
Temple of Eidolins resets every 6 hours.
Infernal Abyss is only available during a certain time frame:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday
The dungeon resets every 8 hours.
Dungeon Team Member’s Preparations
Before you head into dungeon, or at least have an idea how to make yourself more effective in a party setting. Prepare your character so that each of the dungeon runs can go as smoothly as possible.
Without going into too much details on the character build, gear selection and skill choices, we will give out some generation dungeon fighting directions for each of the roles in the game.
Tank: Your job is to be as tanky as possible. This means that getting as high defense as you can while getting gears to deduce damage from bosses and their elemental attacks. You might want to bring some potion as well to help with monster luring or when your team’s Bard is a failure. You want to improve your damage taking ability and survivability to the max.
Bard: Your job is to upgrade your Heal % so that your heal skills become the most effective part of the team. You should have heal +% with all the gears. In addition, defense and HP is important as you want to survive through mobs and boss’ attacks. If you die, most likely the rest of the team may die after their ballad runs out.
DPS: Your job is to up your damage as much as possible. Upgrade weapons, get secret stones that target specific monsters. Boost damage against bosses. You want to dish out as much damage under the shortest amount of time so that dungeons can be cleared faster. Now, with that mind you should still have enough defense so that boss’s big attacks should only deal the most 50~60% of your total HP. You should never NOT have enough defense to withstand party mode’s boss attacks.

Generic Dungeon Strategies
In this section, we will note some strategies that may help you if you are stuck.
Luring
Luring can be done by either a tank or a well equipped bard that is defense build. To successfully lure, you may need to use enemy stun or sleep skills along the way to slow the mobs down. In addition, any equipment that add to your moving speed can help as well.
Luring works only in party mode or when there is at least 1 party member alive in the party. When the monsters become aggro and their aggroed target is dead, they will seek out the rest of the part members on the map.
Party members usually wait at the entrance while the “lure” goes and grab all the monsters. The main purpose is so that people can stay at the entrance and spam their AoE skills, and they can immediately spawn even if they die. However, you should always make sure that the entire party is not wiped out or the dungeon mobs can reset and return to their positions.
Resurrection Order
It is inevitable that sometimes your party members may die. However, there are certain protocol to follow when it happens.
The bard or the main healer should never be the ones ressing people because he should keep up the heals. DPS should always be the first to ress other DPS’s if those are the DPS’s that fall. Always ress the Tank and Bard first if they fall.
In addition, you do not have to “ress” right away after your team members have done so. Make sure that the coast is clear, aka no enemies or bosses are casting their red carpet attack right on top of you. Now, the tank of the party that have the fire of the mobs should move out of the way too so that the fallen can have the space to resurrect.
You do not want to die right away after coming back to life. Ideally, wait for the bard to fully cast triple ballad on you before jumping back into battle.
Boss Ground Attacks and Kite
Certain bosses have strong group effect attacks such as the Spider in Deep’s Cavern or Toto in Candeo’s Core. As a tanker, note that damage taking ability of your team members, if their defense is low and cannot withstand the ground AoE attack, move the boss out of the way so that your party can continue to damage the boss.
Bard and DPS Cooperation
Very often in party, certain DPS classes end up dying because they get out of Bard’s Ballad range. Always position yourself so that you “group” with other team members so that bard’s ballad can cover everyone. In general, the bard has to stand within a certain range of the tank so that the tank can get continuously healed. This means that there is an area where you should stand to be within the range of the healer.
Specific Dungeon Strategies
Wrathborne Temple
In Wrathborne temple, the first boss can get healed by the column pillars to him. Have the tank pull him down the stairs first so that the boss does not get healed.
The second boss is a unicorn which can deal a ton of damage if you stand in front of it during the charge. The hell mode unicorn can one shot anyone who is not a tank. So make sure that you either dodge well or have a super tank that can take that damage at all times.
Infernal Abyss
To be effective in Infernal Abyss, you really have to select your team members well while preparing to rush the dungeon. Bring the class buff materials so that all the team members can get party buffs.
Wear Fire elemental armors to take in less fire damage. Prepare Fire damaging weapons or secret stones to deal more damage to fire monsters. In general, the higher floor lava pools can instantly kill your if you are not a tank, so your best shot is to play well and dodge as much as you can.
