Please note that this gear guide is written mainly for beginners. Intermediate and advanced players will most likely not find this Zenonia S gear guide useful. We will go over the basic features and gear stats only and will not go into specifics on how to gear and setup your sets of equipment.
This Zenonia S Gear guide offers basic information and walkthrough on the type of gear and upgrade options and notes on Gear Enhance, Gear Evolve, Gear Stat Customization, and finally Gem Slotting.
Type of Gears
Equipment in Zenonia S is divided into several categories and locations. They are as followed:
Weapon, Helmet, Armor, Gloves, Shoes
Accessories – Necklace, Ring, Amulet, Cape
Avatar Costume
Different Zenonia S classes uses different weapons in the game.
All Zenonia S Equipments have ranks ranging from D to SS. You can increase the rated ranks of your gears via gear evolution. The gear ranks determine the number of stat bonuses and gem slots that it can have. Equipment sometimes can have + signs which means that it has an additional stat bonus from Raid exclusive, or an additional gem slot.
Zenonia S also offers Set Equipment from raids only which gives additional stat points when you wear the completed whole set. The set bonuses can be found from the “Set” button below the equipment icon from the information screen.
You can get gears from Monster Wave depending on the day, Raids, and normal questing.
It should be noted that you can “Salvage” unwanted gears in exchange for Evolve Points. Evolve point is used for Gear evolution as noted later in the guide. You generally should be careful when using A or S rank equipment for Salvage or Enhancement fodders, as they can be required materials for Rune Enhancement.
Ways to Upgrade and Make Your Gear Stronger
Now we will go through some of the methods to make your gears stronger in Zenonia S. These upgrading methods include Gear Enhancement and Evolution, Bonus Stats Customization, and finally the Gear Gem Slots.
In general, you do not want to enhance gears unless you are stuck with any levels and cannot proceed without getting a stronger gear. The reason is that you will usually out level your set of gears quickly at earlier levels.
Enhancing Gears
You can enhance gears by eating/fusing or sacrifice other fodder gears with a fee. Each gear can have a maximum enhancement level of +5.
Again be careful when you enhance gears with A or S ranked gears as they may be materials for Rune Enhancement.
Zenonia S Gear Evolution
Once Your Zenonia S gears reaches the Max Enhancement level of +5, you can evolve the equipment to increase its rank by clicking “Evolve” for the item.
The gear evolution requires Evolve Stones or Evolve Points. You will use Evolve Stones first and use your Evolve points or if you do not have any evolve stones.
Evolve Points can be obtained via salvaging equipment.
Evolve Stones can be obtained as raid loot.
After gear evolution, the rarity of the equip increases and additional gem slot becomes available.
Zenonia S Gear Bonus Stat Customize
You can customize the bonus stats on your gears in Zenonia S for C or higher ranked gears. Raid stats cannot be reset.
You can protect or lock the stats from being reset with Evolve points and resetting Zenonia S gear require a fee but you can reset once per day for free.
Below are the list of bonus stats that are offered on your gears.
Strength, Stamina, Dexterity, Intelligence
HP, MP

Attack, Def, Evasion
Crit Rate, Crit Damage
Skill Cooldown, Reflect
MP Use, Potion Effect
Zenonia S Gear Gem Slotting
You can slot in gems that offer additional stats boost to your Equipment. Your gears have gem slots that require specific gems type based on the type of the slots. The gem requirement is noted by the color and shape of the slots. The Gems types are as followed:
Attack (Red) – Attack, Crit Rate, Crit Dmg
Life (Green) – HP, DEF, Evasion
Utility (Blue) – MP, Potion Effect, Accuracy
Gems are ranked from D – SS with the higher rarity giving more stats boosts. The rarity of the gems can be increased via Gem Evolution by fusing other gems. The evolution of gems can fail and the chance is increased by having more gems during the process. The stats of the gems may change with evolution.
You can get new gear gems via Raid, Coupons, or empty stat Crafting Stones. The Crafting Stones can be converted into gems from the blacksmith which can take some time to craft. Higher ranked stones take longer to craft so you may run out of your available crafting slots.
You can get additional crafting stone slots by increasing your Zenonia S VIP level. Or you can finish craft and get your gem instantly using ZEN.
