Getting and Using the Power Ups
At the time of writing there are 3 power ups that you can get from the game. To be able to land the highest score, you should get those levels as fast as you can. Below is the list of the different power ups that you can unlock and use in Bake Shop Drop. You will need to spend Golden Ticket to use these power ups. However, Broken Bulb is very generous in terms of rewarding you with the Golden Tickets within the stages.
Level 2: Wild Card
Cost 150 Golden Ticket
Effect: Change the item drop type
Level 3: Bearclaw
Cost 200 Golden Ticket
Effect: Take Out Entire Column
Level 4: Cinnamon Roll
Cost 250 Golden Ticket
Effect: Take Out Bottom Row
The winning strategy when it comes to Bake Shop Drop is that you should save you tickets. Save it for a while until you have around 2000 golden tickets, and you can use all of those tickets at one time to push for the high score. Depending on the different situation and your Bake Shop Drop board, you will want to use different power ups. In general, use Wild Card when you can obtain in game powers such as Bombs and Stars.
Bearclaw is effective in saving your game if you cannot obtain any good cards, simply stack them into a single column and wipe them out. You will use the Cinnamon roll more often towards the later stage of the game. The baked items typically come wrapped at later stages which makes it significantly harder for you to break through. By using the powers correctly, you can obtain more points and scores.
Special In-Game Powers
Bake Shop Drop Bomb
The bomb in the game is created when you destroy the items that are 4 or more in a straight line. The straight line can be horizontal, vertical, and diagonal. The bomb can take out a 3×3 area completely. The bomb can be quite useful towards the end stages.
Star Power
The “starred” item is made in Bake Shop Drop when you break more than 6 items at the same time. This special can wipe out any of the same item on the board. However, it cannot break anything that is still hidden under wraps.
How to Get Higher Score in Bake Shop Drop
Below is a list of tips and guidelines on how to get higher scores in the game.
1. Use Your Powerups Well
Save you golden tickets and use them at one time for the push. Use your power up only when absolutely necessary. Do not ever waste your Bake Shop Drop golden tickets on nothing.
2. Setup for In-Game Power
Early on in the game, you can setup Bombs and “starred” items quite easily. If possible, consider saving them toward later stages of the game. These special blocks can help you break more blocks easily.
3. Aim for “Dropped” Combos
You can earn higher scores on multipliers if you setup the drops to break sequentially. This means that one drop triggers another. Look ahead of time to see what other blocks are available to break. Your goal is to get as many combos as possible.
4. Break for a Great Area Coverage
As you advance later in the game, you will find that the majority of the Bake Shop Drop items are under wraps. These wrapped blocks are only revealed when you break the blocks next to them. This means that whenever you can, you want your broken blocks to “touch” as many blocks as possible. The more blocks that you can uncover, the easier for you to setup for later combos.
