SimCity BuildIt Trading Rules of Thumbs
Before we start going into prices, we will go over some basic guidelines.
You can start selling items via the market once your population reaches 8000, and you can start buying items when your population reaches 10000. You can advertise the items to sell them to other players. If no one buys your product, they are automatically sold at the prices listed to NPC after 24 hours. This means that you should never spend SimCash to clear the product queue.
1. You should almost never sell products made by stores.
All stores items that are manufactured should never been sold. You will need them sooner or later to upgrade your residential buildings. Only sell them when you run a huge surplus.
2. Always buy store manufactured goods on the market.
If another player is selling a manufactured good and you need it, always just buy it. If your inventory storage spaces can handle, it is always better to keep a healthy stash of finished products.
3. About Deals
As an additional way to generate money, you often see “deals” as money icons popping over your utility buildings. These deals ask you for certain items at a given price. It is your job to figure out whether or not the deal is worth it. In general, you should almost never sell store manufactured items unless you really really need the cash.
Note: You can “save” the deal by not clicking “No thanks” nor “I’ll do it”. Simply click outside of the screen to save the deal for later.
Other Buying and Selling Guidelines
You generally should not set max prices for basic factory items such as steel or wood. In some chances you will have hard time getting rid of those items, and you will be stuck with them. The only way to sell your “stuck” merchandise is ask for your friend to take them off your hand, or you have to suck it up to spend 1 SimCash to remove it. So be careful about what you sell.
You can spend 10 SimCash to increase the number of for sale slots that you offer via your SimCity BuildIt trading center.
