World Boss Max Damage Guide Introduction
In this guide, we will discuss everything from the basic of World Boss fights to the complete information on World Bosses. You will learn how to deal max amount of damage and how to improve your damage output with your team.
World Boss Basic
World Boss spawns every day at 5:00 pm server time. In general, they are super beefed up version of SS units with tons of HP. You will have to be at least level 40+ and in a corp to participate in the boss fight. Each players can deal damage to the World boss and rewards are given based on the amount of damage dealt.
Every time you deal damage to the boss, it will take 40 seconds for you to revive and be able to hit the boss again. You can also revive with 20 gold cost, however you should generally not spend gold on reviving against World Bosses until late game where the competition for killing the World Boss get fierce.
The SD Gundam world boss battle lasts 20 minutes overall. The rewards are given based on the damage dealt in terms of Feat, Silver, and Wisdom.
1 Damage = Roughly 2 Silver
100 Damage = 1 Wisdom
10000 Damage = 1 Feat
You also receive special bonuses when the World Bosses are killed.
World Boss Defenses and setup
World Bosses start with full initial SP, meaning that they can pull of skills right away. Your entire team will attack and dealing damage, after your turn the World boss will execute the AoE group attack to kill your entire team.
World bosses have no defense rating so that you can use either Melee or Range units, as long as they have max amount of damage.
World Boss SP Information
World Boss starts the battle with full SP, however, you can effectively delay the casting turn by 1 if you equip your pilots with Interference skill while executing the skill hits on the first turn. We will note the exact method to execute it later in this guide.
How to Max Your Base Damage Against World Boss
All of the ways to boost your damage output is discussed here.
Pilot Attributes
Focus on the main attribute that matches with the Gundam’s attack type. Fight for Melee and Shoot for Ranged attack. It should also be noted that Gundams deal extra damage if the pilot is a specific pilot.
Pilot Skills that Boost your damage
The following pilot skills are noted in order of their importance and what you should focus on first.
Early Game Talents
(Must) Beheading for Melee attack.
(Must) Sniper for Ranged attack.
(Optional) Toughness: Increase non tech damage. This talent works well during early game. However once you start with the first round skill execution setup in late game, this talent becomes obsolete.
Mid Game Talents
(Must) Berserk for higher critical rate damage. This talent is only useful after you have a decent critical rate.
(Must) Knowledge for Agility to improve critical rate. This is based on your pilot talent setup before you start boosting pilot’s agility stat as well.
(Situational) Hunt Down: Great skill to have once enough people deal enough damage to lower boss HP to below half.
Late Game Talents
(Must) Interference: Allows you to execute second round attacks on World Boss. You will need at least 1 set of 776 initial SP plugin. Two of the pilots need to have this skill, one at level 10 and one at level 8. Please check the details on Second Round Strategy section.
It should especially note that Penetrate does not boost your damage against World Boss, simply because the boss has no defense to begin with. Nevertheless, Penetrate is a decent talent to have in Arena and main instances.
Based on the information given above, you should have these four skills as your final end game world boss DPS setup on SS pilots. For S and A pilots, since you only have 3 talent slots, keep knowledge if you have high agility, keep berserk if your pilot’s agility is low.
Before 776 Setup
Slot 1: Beheading or Sniper
Slot 2: Knowledge
Slot 3: Berserk
Slot 4: Hunt Down
After you have 776 Setup
Slot 1: Beheading or Sniper
Slot 2: Knowledge
Slot 3: Berserk
Slot 4: Interference on 2 of the pilot, Hunt Down on the third pilot.
Plugins to Improve Damage
Add critical and damage plugins. In general, adding attack plugin will almost always be better than critical plugin. This is because adding attack plugin affects BOTH the normal attacks and critical attack damage.
The only exception to this rule is when you start equipping your pilots with Berserk skill. Then Critical plugin is always better than the attack plugin.
The best way to max your damage via plugin is to unlock the plug in slots and equip both the critical and attack plugins.
Gundam Reinforcement
Focus on the weapon reinforcement only to boost the damage output.
Use Inherit to Quickly Boost Your Damage
What you do in this strategy can quickly boost your damage without spending too much silver. Only reinforce the weapon stats of your Gundam, then inherit it to your main damage team for quick weapon damage boost.
Maxing Gundam Skills
You do not need to worry about maxing Gundam skills when you first start attacking the bosses. Since you cannot pull off your skills until you get the proper initial SP plugins.
Corp Bonus
Always focus on boosting the damage output from your Corp lab. The middle slots gives the highest damage boost by increasing both your attack and damage. The end slot gives you additional critical rate.
Military Ranking Bonus
There is not much you can do to boost your military damage boost other than stay as high as you can on the arena ranking. The higher ranking that you have, the more damage boost that you receive.
776 Initial SP Plugin and First Hit
Basic 776 First Turn Skill Strategy
To execute your skill on the first turn, you will have to start the fight by equipping your Gundam with level 7, level 7, and level 6 initial SP plugin. If you have multiple sets, equip them on all of your Gundams to receive the initial skill execution.
We will then go over various 776 variations that can boost your damage further when you only have 1 set.
Additional Damage Output Variations
776 + Damage Boost
This method can work when you equip the 776 to the Gundam with group attack buff. By having that gundam execute the skill first, all of your subsequent gundams can deal more damage. For example, Exia has group attack buff of 30%.
One set 776 + SP restore
If you only have 1 set of 776 SP plugin, place it on the Gundam with SP recovery skills such as Super Forbidden or Valiant Duel (Evolved Form from B rank Valiant Duel). You can recover the SP for your other two Gundams so that they can execute skill as well.
You can connect the dots and add the damage boost skill to your second execution so that your third Gundam attack can receive the attack bonus.
Second Round Strategy
The second round strategy is only possible when you have at least 2 Gundams that can cast skill in the first round (see previous section). Your pilots need to have Interference level 10 and level 8 on two of your pilots. Interference works by taking away enemy SP when casting skill.
It should be noted that although the boss cannot cast group skill, they will still attack and thus taking out your front link tank.
Second Round Self Damage Boost
To make the best out of second round, you need to have 1 Gundam that boost your team’s attack during the second round.
