Gamelytic has put together a beginner’s basic guide for your Outernauts because we feel that the game does not really explain that well on what does what. With this guide, you will learn and understand how to make your Outernauts beasts work for you and win you battle victories in the game. If you have found this guide helpful, be sure to check out our other Outernauts beasts guides that will definitely help you go through the game with ease.
Owning and Catching Outernauts Beasts
You will learn this on early in the game that you will be able to catch different Outernauts beasts. We will offer some additional insight about how these functions work. To catch the Outernauts beasts in the game, you will need gravity orbs. Outernauts offer two types of Gravity orbs. The Gravity Orb and Super Gravity Orb. You can purchase the normal one with Lunar, but the Super Gravity Orb is sold only with Star Gems. The only difference between the normal and super Gravity orb is that the Super guarantees catching success regardless of the Wild Outernauts beast’s health points.
If you are using the normal Gravity orbs to catch wild outernauts beasts, you will have to weaken their health points to increase the catching success chances. Typically speaking, you will have 100% success when you lower their health to about 1/4 or 1/3 of the HP. Another note should be made about Gravity Orbs, you will receive a better deal and price when you buy the higher packs. For example, 1 single Gravity orb sells for 500 lunar while a 10-pack Gravity orbs sell for 3500. When possible, save up your lunars to purchase the bigger packs and receive Outernauts discounts.
For the limit on the number of Outernauts beasts that you can own, you will need Beast Feeders to increase your maximum Outernauts beasts populations. Each beast feeder can increase your Outernauts beast population limit by 3 beasts. Because of the Outernauts beast population limit, it is essential for you to expand Outernauts home world as early in the game as possible.

How to Increase outernauts Beast Stats
Your Outernauts beasts will receive additional stats when they level up in the game. The stats increase is pretty random. However, the Outernauts developers are coming up with stats focus system such as Gem type and Metal type which can enhance your Outernauts beasts toward one stats or another during level up. The only basic information that we know are that gems and metals have different rarities and types.
For the Outernauts gems, the ranking of rarities are:
Garnet < Peridot < Topaz < Turquoise < Amethyst < Onyx < Aquamarine < Moonstone < Opal < Pearl < Sapphire < Emerald < Ruby < Diamond.
For the Outernauts Metal types, the rarity rankings are:
Iron, Copper, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Titanium.
In addition to the stats enhancement, you can also spend one Star Gems to increase one of the stats when you level up.
Temporary Boosts: This should be noted because you can enhance your Outernauts beasts stats by using temporary stats boosting items. These items can last from 1 hour to a couple of hours depending on the item. Your best bet is to save enough energy so that you can do as many battles as possible to take advantage of the Outernauts beasts stat boost.
Basic Guide to Outernauts Beast Abilities
The skills in Outernauts can be divided into three different categories: Physical and Cosmic which correspond to the Physical versus cosmic stats. The last type are the purely stats inflicting skills which deal no damage but will inflict status effects. These types are notated on the abilities screen as a Red Sword, a Purple Sword with Flower pattern, Or as booster gun shape?
The skills also have types attribute that can deal additional or less damage toward the Outernauts beast types. Typically speaking, most of the Outernauts beast abilities have chances of inflicting some sort of add-on affects such as stun, lower defense, drain life, and etc. As you use the abilities throughout your battles, the abilities do receive experience points and level up. The level up of different Outernauts abilities can enhance their power as well as the proc chance of activating abilities status effects.
Lastly, when your Outernauts beasts use the same abilities type as its own, additional damage will be dished out as a bonus damage.
Outernauts Abilities Slots and Ability Bank
Your Outernauts beats will learn additional abilities when they level up at certain levels, or when you use abilities teaching items. Outernauts offer plenty of battle abilities for your beasts to learn. As default, each of your Outernauts beasts can only hold up to 4 abilities. However, you can purchase 4 additional abilities slots using star gems. The Star Gems cost for the different abilities can be quite costly. They are priced at: 25, 50, 75, and 100 Star gems for each of the abilities slots.
When you have more abilities but your abilities slots are full, you will be promoted to “forget” one of the abilities. It should be noted that your abilities will lose its level and experience points when you forget about it. You can relearn the forgotten abilities from the abilities bank via the Outernauts Beast’s abilities screen. The cost to relearn abilities are reasonably priced at 10 lunar only. However, at the cost of losing abilities levels, you will have to think twice before removing your high level abilities.
Ok, might as well post this here… I’m trying to find a list of the different status effects that can be inflicted on you or by you, so far the game seems to only want to show effects you’re hit with, but as of yet, I’ve not gotten hit with many of them.
