Keep the Colony Shield Up

The beginner Galaxy Life colony shield is important to help you completely build up your Galaxy Life base. Take full advantage of the beginner protection colony shield. Because you will not get attacked by other human players while you are under protection, you can expand freely without worrying about upgrading your own defenses.

Colony shield is player protection that shields your from any human player attacks in Galaxy Life. This guide will teach you everything that you need to know.

What is Galaxy Life Colony Shield
You will not get attacked from any human player while your colony shield is on. You can freely build your resource buildings and rebuild your planet defenses without the worry of getting attacked.

The red shield icon means that your Galaxy Life colony shield is ON.
The blue shield icon means that your Galaxy Life colony shield if OFF.
You can check the remaining protection time as well as purchase by clicking on the shield icon.

Beginner Colony Shield Protection
You will receive 7 days of colony shield protection when you first start the game free. Take advantage of it by fully building everything that you can.

You can purchase colony shield protection time with galaxy chips. Click on the shield icon to the right of the screen to access the purchasing menu.
One day for three galaxy chips.
seven days for 25 galaxy chips.
and 28 days for 100 galaxy chips.

Colony Shield Activation Based on Enemy Attack
Colony Receives more than 50% Damage – 12 Hour Colony Shield
Colony Receives more than 75% damage – 36 hour colony shield
Single person attacks 4 times in 1 hour – 1 hour colony shield
10 people attack in 24 hour period – 36 hour colony shield

You will lose the protection when the shield time runs out.

You will lose the colony shield protection as soon as you attack another human player.

Shield Sharing Technique
If your main planet is getting attacked often, you can implement this technique to prevent it from being attacked and looted.

Your colony shield is shared among by both of your main planet and colony. This means that the damage protection rules apply when either your galaxy life colony or main planet gets attacked.

So what you can do is to get additional Galaxy life colony and intentionally leave it open for easy prey, or your can even ask your friends to attack and destroy it for you. When that happens, you will obtain a 36 hour colony on your main planet which you can continue to build. Whenever you want to refresh your shield, you can simply attack other players to cancel it, and let your weaker colony to be attacked again.

This technique will guarantee your free colony shield on the main planet which should be generating the majority of your income and resources during the mid game.

This technique later in game as well when you have multiples of colonies, you can freely build on your main planets and let the weakest ones to be attacked and destroyed. This sharing technique will help you to build in peace for Galaxy life.

Use Minerals to Instant Upgrade

The first base will take a little longer for you to upgrade your buildings, however, as you play through the game, you should obtain plenty of minerals that you can spend for instant builds. Take advantage of those instant buildings to build fast in game.

Attack Often for Galaxy Life Resources

Learn the art of attacking other players in order to gain maximum resources possible. Hand pick targets to target resource hogs so that you can gain resources for your own galaxy, planet, and resources. Below are some basic tips to help you successfully attack other players.

Really spend the time to study how each Galaxy Life combat units move and function. Strategize the numbers of units that you send as well as how they behave. You want to spend the least numbers of units possible to gain maximum battle loots.

Upgrade Your Combat Units
Always try to upgrade your units to the maximum possible that your resources allow.

Multiple Hits
For the NPC planet’s star bases such as Sparragon and Firebit, you can repeatedly hit them with your weak units until you bring down their entire base. Focus on sending many marines and flamethrowers with bazooka in the background to bring the enemy down. For players it is the same idea, you only have to be aware of the galaxy life colony shield limitations. try to guess and limit your attack damage to 30% or 40%, then use one final attack to destroy the human Galaxy Life player.

Upgrade Star Warp Gate Fully
Upgrade your star warp gates to the highest possible based on your star base level. You want to be able to pump all your battle units to enemies’ planet to destroy their Star base.

Strong Quality of Units
This concept is the same as upgrading your Galaxy Life battle units, you want to be able to pump out one strong wave of units to wipe out your enemy before the colony shield comes into effect. Activate your strongest units as early as possible to be able to utilize them in battles.

Ninja Attack
If you are lucky enough and run into any enemy base that is worn down, the base might be in process of being attacked by another player. Try to see if you can ninja it and destroy the base before the others.

Deploy Your Units Well
Depending on where you are in the game, your best bet is to combine and use all of the units to your advantage. Pick and choose to use different combat units for the right defenses.

Second Galaxy Life Colonies

Soon into the game, you should obtain your additional colonies to earn resources faster. Without the resources, you cannot expand fast in Galaxy life. Conquer more areas and keep them. You will need the additional compact houses and storage buildings in order to reach for further upgrades.

Second colonies are important aspect of the Galaxy Life for you to advance farther in game as well as having enough resources to upgrade your Galaxy Life main planet. Without the use and upgrade of second colonies, you will not have enough resources to be able to upgrade.

Second Colony Starting Over
When you start with the Second colony in Galaxy Life. It is as if you are starting over a new game. You will start with 1 worker on the new colony with level 1 Star base. However the only different in Galaxy life is that you will have all the resource back from the first planet.

Sharing of Resources
The resources between your Galaxy Life colonies are shared with your primary star base. It should be noted that you must have multiple colonies in order for you to upgrade higher level star bases because of the storage limit.

Attacking from Second Colony
To attack from your colony, you can conquer the colonies from the same system without suffering the mineral cost penalty. If you want to attack many people without spending the minerals, it is best to scatter your colonies more among the different galaxy systems.

Obtain More Workers

Galaxy Life Workers are also important for you to keep up with your building construction as well different building upgrades. Try to obtain as many workers as you can early in the game.

Galaxy Life is a fun new strategy game by Digital chocolate with beautiful graphics. Below I will go over some of the major basic questions about Galaxy Life Workers that you will have in the game. These answers will help you to advance faster with the knowledge of the workers.

Galaxy life workers is an important part of the game. Almost every action that you do or deploy will require an worker to conduct. Below are some of the Galaxy Life actions that require the use of workers.

Clear Misc Resources

All the misc items on your Galaxy Life map can be cleared and recycled for additional resources. The basic bottom line is that any rock looking items will give you minerals, and any plants will give you coins. It should also be noted that you can occasionally obtain Galaxy Chips when you clear out the items. Each items takes 1 worker about 5 seconds to clear.
Longolemonus: Coins
Trenamora: Coins
Gravel Stones: Mineral
Crater: Mineral
Frog Rock: Mineral

Side note: Some Galaxy Life quests require you to clear out these items to fulfill quest requirements. If you have cleared them all, you have to let them respawn by “Not” logging in for 6 hours.

Hiring More Galaxy Life Workers and Cost

You can hire more workers by collecting some of the materials required. You can hire more workers by clicking on the “+” sign at the top of your game screen. Below are how you can obtain the items required.

Helmet: You can obtain Hard hats collecting from Compact Houses
Tool Case: You can obtain Tool cases by helping neighbors with friendly actions
Mallet: You can obtain Mallets by destroying star bases.

In addition to obtaining these items through Galaxy Life in-game functions. You can also purchase them with Galaxy Chips. The items cost the following:

Galaxy Life Helmet: 10 Galaxy Chips
Galaxy Life Tool Case: 20 Galaxy Chips
Galaxy Life Mallet: 40 Galaxy Chips

In addition, the more workers that you have, the more items that it will require you to obtain more Galaxy workers.

Worker 1: Default
Worker 2: 1 Helmet, 1 Tool Case, 1 Mallet
Worker 3: 2 Helmet, 2 Tool Case, 2 Mallet

Play Often and Keep the Upgrades Going

Play all the time to keep upgrading and building buildings. Collect as many resources as you possibly can. The more you play, the faster and more efficient that you can expand. You need to play as often as possible especially at lower levels where you have to collect from houses and mines every hour.

Every building in Galaxy Life can be upgraded into higher forms. These upgrades will provide various boosts that will make you more powerful in the Galaxy Life empire. In this post I will describe to you the main benefits of upgrading different buildings.

For the exact upgrades and cost, check out my Galaxy Life building list:

General Upgrade Boost
In general, all the upgrades that you do will increase the HP of your Galaxy Life Buildings. The more HP that you have, the more likely that your defenses can kill the invading forces. However, you need to note that your HP will also play a part of your galaxy life colony shield protection.

Star Base Upgrades
Star base is the heart of your Galaxy life planet. By upgrading your star base, you will have access to additional buildings and more upgrades. Always upgrade your star bases when you have enough galaxy life resources.

Compact House and Mines
The main resource generator of Galaxy Life. Upgrade these buildings as soon as you can to gather coins and minerals. The upgrades will help you to generate coins and minerals at faster rate as well as additional storage. You will not have to play as often once you have fully upgraded your compact houses and mines.

Bank and Silo
The storage buildings that can hold on to additional coins and minerals. As you expand further in game, you will need to have more storage to be able to upgrade and build higher level buildings.

Warp Gate
Upgrading this building can enable you to send out additional combat units. Upgrade your warp gates to unleash more units and destroy enemy star bases. Because of the colony shield problem, you want to try to be able to take down your enemies before their colony shield comes into effect.

Training Camp, Factory, and Starport
These Galaxy life buildings can be upgraded to obtain additional queues. However, I do not personally find these upgrades useful because you have many buildings that can pump out your battle units fast. Additional queues are not really necessary.

Laboratory
This is a mid level building upgrade that you need to do in game. The additional Laboratory level can enable you to upgrade your individual combat units further.

Defense Towers
The defense towers in game include the following buildings: Cannon Blast, Sniper Tower, Laser Tower, Missile Launcer, and Mortar. These are the primary defense that your planet needs to fend off enemy invasions. Upgrading these buildings can increase the building’s damage and range, in addition to HP.

Keep the Defense Up

You cannot expand in the game when your resources are constantly being drained by attacks. Do not appear to be a weakling by fully upgrade your defense turrets. Keep the defense up all the time and protect your turf.

Obtain More Galaxy Life Friends and Allies

There are many items in game that you can get by tending to your allie’s planet. Try to gain as many galaxy life friends as you can. You will need all the neighbor items possible to expand fast in Galaxy Life. This is a social game after all and it is good to have many friends to help each other.

Hide Your Coins from Attack

This is a practical tip that can protect your coins from being stolen in Galaxy life. By the time that you can be attacked by human players, you should have noticed that coins do not come easy in game. So you would like to prevent enemies from looting the coins from you.

What you can do is to fully fill out your warp gates with cheap galaxy life units such as marine. Then you can start making the most expensive units and let them queue inside the training camp.

Note that these units will not be made because they are under queue, however your coins have already been paid to the system. At this time your coins are in limbo where your enemies cannot touch them when they attack your galaxy life planet.

By doing this technique, you can safely protect a big chunk of your coin storage.

      you can and cannot
to make it bigger you need to buy the observatory for 750,000 coins and takes 2 days to build
then to get 1 more planet so you have 2 you pay 66,00 coins and minerals

keep upgrading to colonise new planets
