Clash of Mages Game Play Introduction
Your primary goal in the game is to destroy your opponent’s tower while defending your own.
There are two kinds of HP system:
The Height of your tower with the max of 10
The energy shield of your tower with the max of 5.
Depending on the resource that you have, you and your opponent will each take a turn to use a card. Different cards will have different effects as well as the card cost. Each card has the most two effects.
Clash of Mages Resources
Depending on the version that you play, the resources available in Clash of Mages include Mana, Souls, or Gold. The end of the round will generate one of each resources. You will have to decide which card to use that will cost different kinds and amount of resources. It should be noted that your turn will be skipped automatically if you do not have enough resources to cast any of the spells.
Winner’s Tips for Clash of Mages
With the basic game play information out of the way, let’s discuss some guidelines on how to win the matches between you and your friends.
Note the Resource Counts
Resource at the beginning of the game may not seem much. If you play wisely and pick out the cards with the best resource ratio, your edge over your opponents will grow as the matches progress. Always observe the available spell cards on the floor, and see which cards offer the best benefits based on the amount of resources. For example, you should almost never “trade” for resources when spells only offer a 1 to 1 trade. However, you should consider trading for higher amount of resources especially at the beginning and mid matches.
Use Enemy’s Low Resources Against Them
Some of the stronger damage dealing spells can cost quite a bit of resources, with this in mind, you can “attack” your opponent’s resource stash to disable them from using spells. By disabling your opponents resource amount, you can protect yourself from damage and even get free turns against your opponents. Resource management is Clash of Mages HD spell usage is key to winning.
Be Aware of Your Enemy’s Card Choices
During the match, you should always note and observe your enemy’s available cards as well as their resource count. Sometimes you may want to “take” a card just so your Clash of Mages opponent cannot use them. For example, if you only have 1 tower HP left and there is a direct tower damage card laying around. (assuming there is no “tower HP cards). You should always use the damage card so that your opponent cannot kill your tower and win the game the next turn.
Effect of Clash of Mages Damage Types
In tower of Mages there are two kinds of damage types and the health that associate with it. Tower physical and shield. However, there are three types of damage cards that you can use in the game. Physical, shield, or physical/shield. The physical/shield damage type will deal damage to the shield first before hitting the tower itself. Be careful not to attack your opponent’s shield when they have no shield at all.
Focus on Cards with Two Effects
Generally in Clash of Mages, cards with two effects yield better spell effects. Whenever possible, weight the effects of cards with two spell effects against those with single Clash of Mage of effect. Your goal is to unleash as much damage while keeping the most resources for yourself. By managing the cards well, you are for sure to win the matches.
Boost Your Health and Shield Consistently
When in doubt, adding points to your tower height and shield never hurts. Be careful of the maximum limit on the tower however, you do not want to waste your resources by having too much health point. You want to focus first on the tower health first to avoid spells that damage the tower directly. After you are sure to survive a couple of the direct hits, you can then spend those resources on shield. But again, your resource management is still key to winning the Clash of Mages game.
